Windows Movie Maker is taking too long to do practically anything
Windows Movie Maker Problem #4,503: Windows Movie Maker is taking too long to do practically anything.
I don't understand it. Before changed my computer it was actually working fine when I was importing/saving files to and from WMM, but now ever since I got my computer reformatted the second time, WMM has been going really slow at doing practically anything. Before: Windows Movie Maker didn't take that long to import files/movie files/mp3s, no matter how big the files were. After: Windows Movie Maker is taking an appaulingly long time to import files/movie files/mp3s, no matter how big (or small) the files are. Before: Windows Movie Maker took only about 10 minutes or less if I wanted to save a video around 10-15 minutes, sometimes even less. After: Windows Movie Maker takes about 70 minutes or so just to save an 8-10 minute video. I'm not wasting my time on this stupid program by waiting around, but why does this program have to suffer from so many damn problems? Is there a way I can make the importing and saving faster like it used to do? EDIT: I just waited about 10 minutes just for a 4 minute video to be uploaded onto the program, whereas before it only took about 1 minute or less. Jam it back in, in the dark.
LOOK AT MY SIG. ISN'T IT GREAT!?

Defrag your hard disk.
Also, I don't suppose we could take a look at your event logs? There's nowhere I can't reach. |
