Grrrr! *SMASHSMASHSMASH*

Do any of you ever react violently when you get pissed off? How bad are you? Examples?

Me, when I get pissed off over little material things like not being able to find something I misplaced, not being able to untie a knot (rare example), not being able to get past a certain element of any video game, etc. I start to lose all sense, all logic, and I'll start hitting walls or start throwing shit around. It fucking feels GOOD. I just hate when I destroy things and later really really regret it.

I forgot what the reason was but a few years ago I nearly picked up my Dreamcast and slammed it on the ground. But as I was whipping my arm back I was like lol fuck that. Instantly I lost my rage and just kinda held the system against my chest just in case my tantrum came back.

I can't be the only one. =ooo

Jam it back in, in the dark.

If somebody or something really angers me, either I punch a wall, slam my hands into a near-by table/counter, or swear at the top of my lungs.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I know a guy just like you. I had to 86 him from my house because he really has no way of controlling his anger and my walls and a door at my sister's house has battle scars to prove it. If he was drunk, the effect was tenfold. The sad part was that, unlike you, he would do this shit unprovoked.

As for me, it take a LOT to rile me up to the point of violence but if I got beef with someone THEY'RE the one I'm taking it out on and I will have the decency to do it in private. I don't need an audience if I'm gonna get my ass kicked.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The worst thing I do when it comes to violence is probably slamming my door really hard.

But I don't get pissed off easily, so.. yay.

Anytime I've actually punched a wall, there's been little (like a tiny mark) to no damage. I'm pretty weak, and I've been actually able to control most of my anger for the past few months. Right now though, there's been a bit of stupid crap going on, but it's okay so far.

I should've worded what I previously posted differently, sorry. Fixed now.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I mostly only get that mad when I'm playing video games and they keep kicking my ass. Like recently I was playing Smash Bros Melee again and for some reason I just kept failing the multiple-Kirby Event Match. Master and Crazy Hands pissed me off too. I tend to pound my fist on the bed a few times and scream obscenities. "FUCK FUCK FUCK GODDAMMIT FUCK."

I remember one time, though, that my now stepdad said something to me that pissed me off to no end and I kicked my wall, leaving a giant black scuff on it that was really hard to get out.

I get frustrated a lot when playing video games... I'm always freaking out about something regardless of what it might be...

I also find it hard to laugh at myself (which makes me angry all the time that I can't get over something). Usually as a result, I'm forced to take out my anger on the person who place it upon me.

Umm you mean like beating up your wife or throwing your cat out of the window? No, pretty much not. I try to control myself, but I have to say that I pretty rarely get upset anyway, so it's not really much of a problem

I normally scream when I get angry, but every now and then I end up punching a pillow on my bed and throwing (soft) things around my room. Stuffed animals and blankets get it the worst.

I used to throw shit around very often when I was younger — back then I also had a really short temper and had to deal with Malaysia's greatest fuckhead (over-exaggeration, but shiiiiiit, he was a fuckhead) every day at school, so I was nearly perpetually angry. Smashed a few unimportant objects, but nothing major. When I was really young I do remember tearing up some art projects I did in kindergarten, though.

Recently I've somewhat mellowed out. I still feel the urge to smash shit whenever I get really angry and/or frustrated, but I usually just end up walking in circles and generally wandering aimlessly instead of punching walls and stuff.

When I get pissed off I get happy, because it sure beats getting pissed on (unless the pee is for a sting from a jellyfish or a gummi bear). It takes a fair bit to get me pissed off, like CANCER COUNCIL >=( one day it'll probably lead to a mental breakdown that'll wipe out the city. Save the something, save the something.

I never react violently when something pisses me off. Seriously, these tales of people chucking controllers across the room or punching walls or anything similar astound me - what the hell is that shit going to do to help? Can't wrap my head around it.

I mean I don't jump up and down and wave pompoms and sing and do a little dance whenever something happy happens, so why should I react similarly in a negative situation?

I used to react violently to infuriating situations when I was a younger (there's a nice hole in the sheet rock in the dining room caused by me throwing a wireless phone at it when my friend pissed me off beyond all belief several years ago), but now I'm much more laid back and don't get angry all that easily. When someone or something really manages to piss me off (which is a few times a year, maybe), I usually just clench my fists at my sides and let out a frustrated growl until the anger dissipates.

When I was young I used to have these impulses. There used to be a lot of dents in the walls and doors and things where I had just needed to hit something. As I've grown older, I've learned that I can control these impulses msot of the time. Fortunately for me, I used to always take out my rage on things that weren't particularly expensive. I was always at least that calculating.

I have a buddy though, a few years younger than me... he recently broke an xbox controller and drop-kicked his xbox. I think he regrets that now, but his rage has yet to come under control...

Anyhoo more on topic, the most angry I've gotten so far is mild "fucks sake you fucking fuck" whenever I lose on Ouendan or the sort. If it really pisses me off I'll "FUCKS SAKE" while stabbing the bed/chair with the stylus, or if I'm on my bed then I'll probably bite the bedcover.

I used to get angry when I was little and used to either growl at the screen or bite the joypad or something, but besides that I haven't really had any huge "ARRGGHHGHHH **smash**" episodes.

Yet.

When I used to get pissed off with games that I was playing, I would usually throw the controller on the ground and swear at the TV. I don't tend to get pissed off with my games anymore though, I must be getting better at them.

When I get pissed off with something else, I find that grinding my teeth helps me calm down. I used to kick and punch walls, but after a while I realised that it was hurting me more than it was the wall.

My dad and brother have tempers, and things tend to get broken. I'm definitely generally cooler and more relaxed. But I did have one slight outburst in the past couple months, and I killed someone an electric fan and kicked a hole into a cabinet door. I had a reason to be upset then though.

Other than that, I've gotten pissed off at video games once in a while (sup Trauma Center on the DS or Monkeyballs on Wii for example), and I'd throw the controller or DS... at a pillow cushion or someone. :3 Though I do sometimes miss and hit the wall...

Fucking thread cracks me up. Had a cousin that would get so mad at some games he'd turn the system off, put the game in its case (my explanation for this is that he felt he was basically punishing the game by putting it away) and put it away for three or four solid weeks. Also had a friend that got pissed off by NHL '94 and tossed it off his balcony about four different times before his girlfriend (she bought it for him) got tired of going to pick it up for him.

All true, but when your ordinary person gets pissed off thinking things through that logically is one of the last things you're gonna see. Plus, it actually feels good to physically vent, so long as you're not causing horrible damage.

The only games I've ever gotten pissed at were Tekken (teh first) when I was about 10 and the other day playing Snake in the arcade. I generally only get angry with them if I can't complete a certain part of it, in which case I stop playing for a while.

As for anything else... several times I've ran at my cupboard door and broken it off it's hinges. I've also broken a laptop's screen when I tried to put my fist through it. I don't usually inflict my anger on people, but in the early years of high school I was bullied by a group of lads. Long story short I chased after them with a plank from some broken mobile steps and hit one of them repeatedly in the face. Another time I was stretched to absolute breaking point and gave a girl a black eye, but those kind of things are rare for me.

My bike constantly frustrates me. It is the one thing that constantly gets me fully pissed off. Its always breaking and its a bugger to fix. So when I'm fixing it, if it screws up, I get really pissed. Most of the time I just curse and mutter and stuff. But sometimes I get so pissed, that I'll whip the wrench or whatever tool I happen to be holding at the wall or into the corner.

As for video games. I rarely get super pissed off. Its only if its something out of my control screwing up that I get mad. So if the game lags and I die, or the controller screws up and I die. At those times I'll hit something. Usually just the corner of my couch or desk. Nothing too violent. Otherwise, if I'm just having trouble beating something, and I feel myself getting frustrated, I'll just take a break from the game till the next day.

I remember when I was younger I had a violent temper. I've been in anger management 3 different times. This one time, this kid totally pissed me off. He was getting in my face and trying to hit me. So I snapped. I grabbed him by the shoulders, but he twisted out and took off running. So I chased after him, grabbed him by the back of his neck, and threw him into the ground. Then proceeded to punch him in the back of the head a couple times. He left me alone after that. But I'm not that angry or violent anymore. I have the potential, but I've matured alot since then.

I don't react physically when I'm pissed. My face just sours and I say short phrases or cut conversations short. Just not a people person when I'm pissed, and I don't find a need to destroy things that I will regret doing later on. I just go to the gym or something.
