Upcoming BEOWULF game(Ubisoft) / Music exerpts
Hello,
just found a link where you can listen to three music excerpts of Dikiciyan/Velasco's big orchestral score for the upcoming BEOWULF game. Excellent all the way! This is very promising. Here is the link: Tracksounds:. The Film Music and Soundtrack Experience You will find the three music tracks at the right. Enjoy. Greetings, galipolis How ya doing, buddy? |
This is music for a game? Awesome!
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Hello katchum,
Indeed. I am not so familiar with Dikiciyan/Velasco's work but I guess their BEOWULF score is their first pure orchestral one. Recent HELLGATE LONDON was great composition in a symphonic way but still synthesized. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Does Yoko Kanno's game works count? I think most of them were live.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Here I found a 1:15 minute trailer for the upcoming BEOWULF game
with Dikiciyan/Velasco's bombastic music: Beowulf - Monsterkämpfe - Looki Video It's not more than a taster but features great action scenes which are reflected in the music! Enjoy! I was speaking idiomatically. |
By some incidence I heard all of the music in September and it's amazing.

This is indeed good music. It actually ressembles the style used by Silvestri in the movie score with the use of choir. Is there a release date for this score?
FELIPE NO
Not six....more like half a dozen...

Probably not, unless they include it with a special edition of the game. I have realized that many of these games for the next gen consoles (particularly XBox 360) never release soundtracks often. Some of the best game scores like Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1 & 2, Gun, Splinter Cell Double Agent, Call of Duty 4, Jerico, and even Beowulf never see anything other than fan rips. It is a damn shame, and if I were a composer in one of those titles I would be pushing for a soundtrack release. They owe it to the fans, and I'm sure they would sell.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
