Music from Uncharted Waters Online

Some time ago, someone recommended a site belonging to a fellow called Jeff Chen, hosting some albums and gamerips. I was especially delighted that he was offering the music from the Dragon Quest V remake.

Well, he's tacked on some more since then, and Uncharted Waters Online is one of them. It's a new MMORPG that's available in Japan and Korea; not sure if it'll reach Europe or America yet.

But he put the music up, and I grabbed it out of curiosity. And it's pretty nice. Sweeping epic music for exploration, and different cultural hints for the differents ports and oceans. A very pleasant surprise.

I have no idea who the composers are. As much as I appreciate Jeff's efforts, he has an annoying habit of listing himself as the author.

Grab it here: http://jeff.ali213.net/GVOnline/index.htm

I wonder if there'll be an official OST released sometime...?

Intersting! I'll have to check it out.

Oh, and we usually put links to music sites in this thread, for future notice.

*Crosses fingers for the return of Yoko Kanno to game music*

Yoko Kanno composed all the music from the previous Uncharted Waters games. A woman of fine skills, she is. I hope that she writes for this next installment as well. Although, last I heard she was busy with Ragnarok Online 2, so who knows?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Good point. Since it was primarily for an individual rip, however, I wasn't sure if that's where it belonged. (I even wondered if it belonged in the album thread for a moment.)

Awesome find. I've always liked the Uncharted Waters soundtracks. I wonder if that game is going to be released in North America or Europe. Has anyone heard anything?

I was speaking idiomatically.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention; it's good stuff.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
