Symantec's Norton 360 b e t a

http://www.symantec.com/norton360beta/

Even after reading this, I am not sure what the thing's actually doing. Any ideas?

It seems to be some combination of anti-virus, anti-spyware, "performance enhancement," and firewall software.

I'm sure there's probably more to it, but that seems to be the bulk of it.

They offer backup, too. (online, even. That way you're safe no matter what happens at home.)

The combination of features is interesting, really. Once installed you shouldn't be needing any other programs to maintain your PC.

I tried it out for a few days, but it seemed to bog down my computer WAY too much. Back to avast! for me, thanks.

Looks to simply be Symantec's take on Windows Live OneCare.

Once installed, it would cripple your computer so much that you couldnt install other programs anyway. There are virtually no fields in this Nortn pack where there arent any less resource compulsive applications which also offer better performance.

Also the title is misleading, at first I thought this is Norton Disk Doctor for the Xbox 360.

lol Norton. Such a terrible product. Can't see an "all-in-one" improving on any of its past faults... rather, create more.

Slight derail: are there any AV-programs for the X-Box?

Not that I agree they should have a monopoly on the term "360"

Back to topic: RYU, does look compatible mean looks like it's compatible or does it just look the same as Vista? *confused*

I thought this is the new antivirus for Xbox.
