Spoiler:
Obviously, none of the cards are the same, not just the one you choose.

Wow. I have to admit, I was a little surprised at first...until I realised how it was done 2 seconds later. Pretty clever, I guess.

This is basically as old as the internet. I can't believe the OP was fooled by this.

I remember seeing this trick a long time ago. I just can't remember where. But, about card tricks...I remember one David Copperfield did years ago where you placed your finger on your TV screen (on a card), and the cards were removed one by one until that one remained....

Anyone remember the explanation for it?

Wow, this was incredibly stupid. Not only was it easy to figure out, but it wasn't funny or amazing or anything. It fails, on all accounts.

I know how it works, but everytime I do it, the NUMBER I chose always has only one card at the end. How does THAT work?

Like there's two 7's and I pick one. When the cards are blown up, there's only one 7 left. It's happened to me all the time. Is it just a coincidence?

Keep trying. I chose a 9 and was then given the remaining two 9s in the deck. You're just miraculously selecting the one that has randomly not appeared.

The REAL trick is actually that these cards manage you to try them out everytime again and again to see whether they come up with something new, but alas, when you realized they are as old as your grandma, the trick's been done.

How ya doing, buddy?

This had me going for like one second, then I realized the method by which I had been duped. I guess it's something to try to fool a small child with in order to steal a dollar from them in the future. I don't know.

You'd have to be a baby to be stupid enough to fall for this, and from what I can tell they don't carry money on them. Not even small children should be duped by this pathetic trick...unless they're retarded small children.

My exams are this week as well, so I can totally understand how you mind is probably working (or lack thereof) right now. Hooray for lack of sleep and temporary loss of mind control!!!

Seriously, during exam time, the brain literally forgets everything that's not related to the exam and logic takes a vacation.

It tricked me the first time, then I realized I've been duped. Now I've grown wiser. Thanks, internet!

Well, I thought it was a neat trick. Took me a few clicks to see how they did it though.

Here's another interesting mind-reading trick, though it's a bit easier to figure out:

Stuff like this is so much fun. Ah the wonders of mathematics! (too bad my brain fizzles at the thought of calculus)
