[News] The Hero with a Thousand Faces

I am planning on ordering this book by Joseph Campbell soon, but in the meantime, do any of you have any other recommendations on what I should get that's similar to this book (or just other Joseph Campbell books you think is worth getting as well)? I'm creating a story which sounds a lot like the stuff written in this book, so I figure I should read up on it and see what else I should be doing (aside from making it worth reading lol).

So, what else do you recommend, and why?

The book, more or less, is just an exposition on Campbell's theories regarding stories of heroes. Particularly about some very common themes amongst all of them, and ones which he feels are almost universalities within all human culture.

Your gonna also wanna pick up "The Power of Myth" either the television program or the book. Its an extensive interview Campbell did with Bill Moyers, its actually still aired a couple times a year on PBS
