Soundtrack for Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.
Contains the DS Sound Source and Original Sound Source Versions. 2 discs, 74 tracks. First Press includes a poster.
That is great news. I wasn't expecting a release that soon. The important is that we are getting it anyway, right?

and off topic, who is "PV" that is adding plenty of soundtracks on gmronline way before any store begin to take preorders on them ?

I've been dying for some more Yuzo Koshiro stuff for ages, and now we get 2 releases on the same day, with this and Sekaiju no Meikyuu. I wasn't expecting a soundtrack for this so soon either, but you won't see or hear me complaining. March is going to put a huge dent in my bank account lol.

As far as PV goes, I've been wondering about that too. If someone could shed some light, that'd be great.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Well, I guess he's PV. I think he used his full name when updating GMR some time ago, but you could ask him for that on STC.

It doesn't really matter, because as for where to see upcoming soundtracks before stores take preorders, there are many places.
One particularly good is G.M.Revolution -3rd Generation PLUS-

Yeah, it's a VGMWorld exclusive. Konamistyle releases aren't sold outside of Japan, so neither CDJ or AmazonJP will be carrying it. I hate how VGMWorld jacks up their prices. Despite that, I've ordered it anyway.

It's the same P_V who's at soundtrackcentral forums.

He keeps a good eye out on the JP websites that list new releases, and the publisher's websites as well, so it's helpful that he can update GMR even a few days before webshops start setting up their preorder pages and such.

Well, when it comes to titles only sold through sites like segadirect and konamistyle, I guess they have to pay the actual 'retail' price for each individual copy themselves, and as such have to put their own sale price a bit higher in order to make some profit.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Yeah, you're right. I know that. If they sold everything at the reg. retail value, they wouldn't be able to make any kind of profit. I understand that completely. But, as someone that imports a lot of albums (which is expensive to begin with), it's frustrating sometimes to have to pay an extra 1,000+ yen to get an album because a publisher won't sell outside of Japan.

How ya doing, buddy?

I'm just thankful that someone is making it easier for people outside of japan to get releases like these, really =)

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Oh, I'm grateful too. Matter of fact, when I first saw the album on GMR, I e-mailed Kahori and asked her if she would be able to carry it, as well as the new Atelier album. She said she would be carrying Portrait of Ruin but didn't know about Atelier.

But yeah, I'm eternally grateful for the service her and her staff provides. I hope my previous posts didn't imply I was saying otherwise.

That's how I got both Shining Force Neo and Shining Tears music collection too, I had to request it as a special order. It was "overpriced" (25$ instead of 18$ WOW), but it was worth every penny.

EDIT:

I asked her for Shining Force EXA and she said it wasn't exclusive to segadirect, though she's gonna carry it as a regular album soon. Hmm....

Thanks for the tip, cubed, but I think I'll stick with VGMWorld this time around since I've already ordered it there. After shipping, the cost would be around the same as VGMWorld's. Glad to see that it's not exclusive, though.
