Source.

Interesting read =D Woman's car veers off the road ending in a messy crash. A stray German Shepherd drags her fifty yards away from the crash and to the side of the highway.

She isn't gonna adopt the dog since she has six already -- claims she'd spoil him WAY more than the others. But they are going to put the dog up for Search & Rescue work.

The dog was named "Hero" as a result of this. It's currently being spoiled like crazy at the Humane Society shelter. The lady who was rescued begged them not to put him to sleep, and to this, the head honcho of the shelter said "not gonna happen~"

I do so love a happy ending =D Every dog has his day.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
Hey, maybe you should try that thing Chie was talking about.

Awww, and it's a German Shepherd Dog too, my favourite breed :3

Pretty amazing story, although I don't know why his previous owners decided to 'give him up' just because he always wanders off. Don't they have some sort of an enclosed area to keep him in? Anyway, I like hearing stories of heroic animals.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Yay =D! I give props to that dog. I wonder if it was thinking anything. Hopefully it didn't just do something like that randomly, being a stray and all.

How ya doing, buddy?

Wow, that's an AWESOME story. Kinda makes me wish I liked big dogs. It's good to know that there are intelligent animals out there.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Funny hearing about heroic dogs when two bitches in heat right next to me are practically simulating doggy style. Poor things, I wish it were that easy with human beings.

This dog is awesome. This woman is a fool. She should've adopted the dog and sacrificed the oldest among the six in his honor. There is absolutely no reason this motherfucker shouldn't be in her home.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I hope that the local police force takes it in. That dog would be a useful police dog, either for search and rescue missions, or drug raids (but mostly search and rescue).

Too bad there arent more dogs like this, but then again, they probably had a bad upbringing if they're strays.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I don't know man. Working with police sounds horrible unless he's partnered up with someone and gets to go home with him/her.

Awesome dog, and a neat story. I always think it's really great when random animals do cool things. Saving that woman's life definitely should've earned him a spot in her home, though. What a silly woman.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?
