Upgrading advice needed

I saw an add on craiglist.org some one arround my area is selling a processor and motherboard for 220$

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115005
http://www.intel.com/products/mother...65wh/index.htm

Now I dont have much money for new a new video card and ram or a better upgrade. So if I do buy that will I be able to use my current RAM that I have which is a DDR pc2700 type with that motherboard? And I have a Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 video card, will I be able to use it with that motherboard? Also my computer right now is a Intel Pentium 4HT 2.8ghz, and it came with windows xp home edition installed. Lets say if I want to reformat my computer with this new processor and mother board, will I be able to use my current disk which I had to create thru the sony vaio recovery wizard to reformat?

Also is this a good upgrade from what I currently have, or should I just wait and upgrade it to some thing better?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

The memory you have will not be compatible. The type of motherboard you have there needs DDR2 memory at 533, 667, or 800 MHz, which means more money to spend. Also, is your video card an AGP or PCI-E model, because the board only has the latter slot available.

The processor and motherboard are nice, but as it stands you will need to buy new memory and video card to use them. The OS disks you have probably won't work because of the difference in the hardware, so again, more money to spend. If money really is a concern, then you would be best off saving up for a brand new machine rather than try and piece one together with older technology.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Last I checked nobody sane pays for windows, the cost of a blank cd is negligible.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
