Problems with Media Player and flv-files

This may be a hard one.
So I have some files on my harddrive (flv-files or flashfiles from YouTube).
I can play them on Media Player, but everytime I try to "scroll" forward, I get this error:

This error happens to the other flv-files as well...
Does anybody have any idea how to solve this problem?
I can always download a flv-player, but I don't want to install another player...

What codec (pack) do you use for decoding FLV?

hmmm?
I don't know...I just tried to play them with Media Player and they worked.
How do I check what codex I have on Media Player?

Maybe not related, but I have DivX and SwissFlash installed...

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Windows Media Player doesn't play FLV by default. FLV support can be added by installing codecs, but they're still experimental and very buggy.

I suggest installing a seperate FLV player instead for now.

This one's pretty good. It's also got the extremely imaginitive name of, wait for it, 'FLV Player'. h tt p://w ww.martijndevisser.com/blog/article/flv-player-updated

Remove spaces - it's not letting me post a URL.

I was speaking idiomatically.
