PCIe card on the cheap?

Well, it's getting close to Christmas, and I want to get my friend some computer stuff.

Right now, the two biggest problems she has with her computer is her hard drive (80 GB) being nearly filled up, and her video card.

I've already more or less decided on a hard drive for her (either this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822144181 or this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16822148103), but I'm more confused on the video card.

Right now, she's using an ATI Radeon Xpress 300 integrated card, so more or less anything will be an upgrade for her. With that said, I'm considering getting a 7600GS for her (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16814143054), but I'm also considering cheaper options.

What would you recommend?

Also, have I picked out decent hard drives?

How ya doing, buddy?

Are you sure the computer has a PCI-E slot?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Depends on what your budget is. If you're willing to spend a bit more, 7600GT will last you a while. Otherwise, 7600GS is a good deal.

It's an eMachines PC. I can't remember the exact serial number, but it does certainly have a PCI-E slot.

Also, ironically, all it would need is a good enough video card to be better than my PC. ;_;
