Movie files too bright! >.<
Hi!
I don't know what the problem is but every time I try to watch a DVD or movie file on my PC the video is too bright. This is noticed especially in full screen. Does anyone know why this is? I have a feeling it's to do with the video renderer but I have no idea how I would change this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Jam it back in, in the dark. |
What player are you using?
If I play videos in WMP they're darker than they should be and in VLC (with the default DirectX output) the colour is screwed and there's ghosting, though using OpenGL output in VLC and everything plays fine. I have no experience with ATI cards, but if you have an nVidia card, you can tune video brightness / colours in the panel (or applet, depending on which drivers you're using). How ya doing, buddy? |

I tried using Nero's DVD player and it seems fine. In VCL the files were, as you said, way too bright.I don't have a clue how to use OpenGL in VCL, hehe! However, when I try to recode into .mpg format using Nero Recode the brightness appears again. I am using an nVidia 7900 GS.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
