My neighbor recently sold his PC and well he's had it for quite some time. He asked me what program would I recommend for wiping out the hard drive or free space so that no remnants of his remain. Course, I said I'll look into it so naturally this brings me here. He plans to hand his PC over on Friday with Windows Home Edition installed, working drivers and whatever packaged software came with it.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I am sure there are programs that do a really good job, but I have heard that FULL formatting, several times (I heard around seven) will do the job. Of course, that removes the OS, and so forth.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
WinHex can do this (and much more). I'll cobble together something if you'd like.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |

Would appreciate it Kaiten.
Nevermind, ended up using Norton Wipe Info "Government Wipe" method which took longer than expected but I think is good enough. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
