GFF Fantasy Basketball 06-07
The 2006-07 NBA season is almost here. Preseason begins on October 9th, and opening night is October 31st.
So with this thread, I wanna see if there is enough interest to play some Fantasy NBA here this year. With that, we also have to decide on the game mode, categories, etc. We will most likely use Yahoo!'s fantasy basketball system, and I'll make the league once we decide on settings (probably next week). I'll edit this post with the league info then too. I'm also interested in making our draft "offline", i.e. not using Yahoo!'s Java-based draft. It'll still be online. What I've started to do in my past fantasy leagues is have the draft in an AIM window, then the moderator submits the teams to Yahoo!. This year, we also tried out sharing a Google spreadsheet of the snake draft, which everyone can edit, and it just looks freaking cool. We'll have to decide on a date and time for this as well, and I'm thinking a week or two before opening night. As for my preferred game mode, I like rotisserie, 9 categories: field goal percentage (FG%), free throw percentage (FT%), points (PTS), threes pointers made (3PTM), rebounds (REB), assists (AST), steals (ST), blocks (BL), and turnovers (TO). If I could get at least 8 people interested in this, we could have a decent league. So... who's trying to play? Jam it back in, in the dark. |

 That's why this thread is first an "interest" thread before becoming a sign-up/trash-talking thread. I just wanna make sure there'll be enough players before spending one of my Yahoo! fantasy slots on this league. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
