Vanished [Prison Break + 24 kinda]

So, just saw the first episode.

I thought it was alright. A bit cheesy at times with the use of impossible technology and movie-styled tech CG, but it could get interesting when they introduce the Illuminati-type storyline. Maybe a bit more epic than a simple kidnapping show.

Any other reactions? I'm trying to watch any new drama series (I'll try out The Nine, etc...) to get my fix before 24 and Lost continue.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Just got around to watching this show today (I downloaded it since I was watching The Closer at the time when it first came on), and I'll say it was pretty good. It's definitely very 24-esque (I'm convinced that if this show was taking place in real time, it could be a season of 24), which definitely gives it some appeal (it doesn't really have anything in common with Prison Break, though).

One of the things I'm impressed with is the cast. They got some pretty big name people (I didn't even know Ming-Na and Rebecca Gayheart were gonna be on here, and they have a lot of other good people too that I've noticed from other shows, like 24 obviously, with Walt Cummings and Luis Annicon (I can't remember their real names at the moment) being on there), and overall they seem to be doing a solid job in the acting department.

The plot seems pretty good too, and I like how they're fleshing out the characters' backstories as well. This seems like it'll be another great show, it just needs a little more time to get in its groove. I'll definitely keep watching, though.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

The parts of Prison Break I refer to is more of the style.

This isn't as "high-brow" as 24, there's some cheesy swooshing into CG stuff and implausible technology (I know, 24 has the craziest technology, but it somehow seems "more real"). That's what I felt Prison Break had.

I thought the show was pretty good, it was only the first episode so it seemed they were trying to add as much stuff as possible to make it interesting for the rest of the season. However 24 will always be number one, and Prison Break is not far behind, but Vanished has potential to get up there if it is done right.
