UFF tops the list this week. The book has been stellar lately. Thunderbolts is also up there. The book has had a great run with only a few soso arcs.

I'm expecting Civil War: X-Men to be really bad. The first issue did not impress me and the solicits don't sound very good.

52 is getting more interesting in Kandhaq or however you spell it.

How ya doing, buddy?

Definitely picking up the CW tie-ins (CW:X-Men & Thunderbotls), Sensational SM, and Street Fighter Legends: Sakura. I'll most likely pick up the Ultimate FF Annual, and I might take a shot at Claws. I'll probably give Claws a thumb through before deciding on whether or not to pick up the series.

SFL: Sakura is the must have of the week for me. I absolutely loved UDON's work on SF and SFII, so I'm dying to see what they've done with this new series (plus Karin a fav of mine from the Alpha series, and she's sure to appear in it). Hopefully this series won't suffer the same huge delays/set-backs that SFII received.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I just found out Runaways 19 is out this week. I'm definitely checking that out as well. It's one of the best series around. The new roster has really added some life to the series.

Are any of these comics funny?

Sensational Spider-Man may be funny, assuming SM is his bantering self. Ult. FF could also be, given that Thing is usually funny. Shadowpact does appear to have some humor, too.

Let's see...
Ghost Rider #2 (liked #1 quite a bit)
Runaways #19 (never read one of these, but I really liked the Runaways/Young Avengers CV book)
Flash #3 (been enjoying this one)

Maybe...
Deadman #1 (the preview on Vertigo's website looks good)
The Boys #1 (same thing, but Wildstorm)

Also, keep getting books to catch up. I've been really liking Y (onto book 4 now), and, based on what I've liked, the guys at the place I go have been recommending stuff. I haven't looked at it yet, but they recommended Ex Machina, so maybe I'll pick up book 1 of that.

Uhh...Runaways vol.2 #19 is really not a good jumping on place. I highly suggest that you grab the trades for the first volume and then the volume 2 stuff before you start buying single issues.

Ex Machina is really good. It's very different from most comics out there. I recommend it. What are your favorite books so far?

Really? Marvel even said in the description of Runaways #19 that it is a good jumping on place for new readers. :P That was part of why I decided to finally get it. But I could start with the trades.

Out of what I've read...my favorites are Y and the Front Line books. I also like Astonishing X-Men (I'm already all caught up on these) and I really liked the last Cable and Deadpool (the only one of those I've read). I like the new Flash and Atom series, I've enjoyed the Eternals series and there was a new one...The Innocents I think?...that I liked the #1 of.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Well, I say that because there was recently a HUGE event in the lives of the Runaways. You're jumping on post-drama, so your going to see all of the characters deal with their angst and what not. I think that you'll get a much greater appreciation for the series if you start it from the beginning. It's only 30 something issues...

If you like Astonishing, I'd recommend that you check out the new Uncanny X-Men arc. It deals with the Shiar and it's actually pretty good. It's going to last 12 issues. Oh, and if you want more good teen supers, check out New X-Men, Teen Titans and Young Avengers. All three of those books have been solid over the past few years (well, YA only started recently... but it's among my favorite books out there).

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Uncanny is so massively superior to Astonishing, I could laugh. And isn't YA over for a little while due to Civil War (and possibly its infrequency)?

The first volume is finished. I believe that volume two will be starting up in November on a bimonthly schedule.

Uncanny > Astonishing? Uhh... no. It only started getting good again with the Shi'ar arc, and the latest issue of that was rather bland.

I will admit that the last issue was somewhat bland (and probably could have come before the previous issue). However, I'd be inclined to disagree. Overall, this Shi'ar arc will be better than this second year of Astonishing X-Men. I guess we just should agree to disagree and move on.

So, YA starts again in November? Will it be like Ultimates, with a title like Young Avengers 2? And when does the Runaways/Young Avengers crossover mag end?

It might start up again in 2007, I'm really not sure of the start date. i don't know what the title will be either. All I know is that they will be back after a break and I'm really looking forward to the first issue.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Uncanny. I started on this arc, and I like it a lot. I never bothered going back to look at anything else because most of the people I've talked to said it wasn't good before this.
