Zoids

Just recently I bought myself copy of Zoids manga... I'm sure some of you familiar with this title since this is a serialization derived from game with same title. The story goes with a main character named Van who discovered a zoid in some ruin. Eventually they were attacked by mysterious zoid and managed to fuse altogether. He brought the zoids ("zeke") home afterward.

I havent finished the game so I couldnt say much how this manga related to any of zoids universe. Anyone has read this before? Has this been licensed in your country?

Here I attach the cover of the manga. Lemme know if you want some raw scans

Jam it back in, in the dark.
You all think you got good deals, huh? Ha! You frugal and observant shoppers have more to learn.

Tell you what. I saw the anime and enjoyed every episode of it. Its the best Zoids arc compared to other Z-animes that tried to be as a good or better than its predecessor.

Now then. Onto finding pics of Raven.

I agree. I really enjoyed the Zoids: Chaotic Century / Guardian Force anime. They had a really great plot and creative storyline that I never found boring. I'm waiting until they release box sets.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Yeah, the recently released the last DVD of Guardian Force. No releases for Box Sets of the series yet though.

To be honest, I thought that the dubbed versions of Chaotic Century / Guardian Force were really quite good. So I wouldn't really mind picking up just the dubbed versions.

Spoiler:
Raven and Geno Breaker FTW

Eriol, I was completely unaware that a Zoids: Chaotic Century manga had been released. I wouldn't mind taking a look at a few scans.

What's the name of the Zoids series that featured Bit Cloud as the main character? Honestly, that was the only one I really liked, and I'd like to get the series on DVD eventually, but when I search for "Zoids" on Google I keep getting Chaotic Century.

How ya doing, buddy?

It's Zoids' Zero Century. Supposedly there is a small info that relates to Chaotic Century. Other than that, its a good show. The difference is that it was more on the Sporty-side while Chaotic Century was all out war and partly drama-comedy

I will see if the manga has been available already for rental. I usually scan from them since I dont want to damage my collection (call me tricky, but that's what I usually do)

One thing I noticed between Zoids: Zero Century and Zoids: Chaotic Centure / Guardian Force is the surprising character similarities. Just to name a few:

Vega Obscura and Raven
Naomi Fluegel and Moonbay
Jack Sisko and Irvine
Harry Champ and Thomas Schubaltz

Just to name a few.

Harry Champ was more of a comedic type compared to Schubaltz.. But I understand where you're coming from. I also had that "wtf" mood when I saw and compared both sides. Raven and Vega have quite the same bs..only Raven is more darker >.<.

I barely remember Zero and Chaotic Century =/ I need to watch these again .

Yeah. Personality-wise they are polar opposites. I was speaking on more of a character design similarity.

I also noticed that Brad Hunter bears some resemblence to Hiltz.

Spoiler:
I think that Vega is a descendant of Raven and Reese

I saw Zoids back when it was on Cartoon Network. I liked Zoids Zero Century when it came on in the afternoon. The fights were pretty good and had a decent story and good characters. Then about half a year later I woke up early one morning only to find a new Zoids anime on CN and I loved it. A great story, good character development and even more zoids. I constanly hated CN for showing it almost three times in a complete loop leaving off the last four episodes. I was always saying to myself "Maybe today they'll show those final episodes."

Viz did realese a few Zoids manga a few years back but it was the mirror reflected stuff with the english sound effects that I never really liked.

I also remember another show called Zoids Fuzors or something that came on saturday nights but I only saw one episode because my parents would take both of the tvs that had the satelite hooked up to them. That one episode I saw of it looked pretty bad and that was the general consesus of it from when I heard other people talk about it.

Yeah, that's how I stumbled upon Zoids: Chaotic Centure / Guardian Force as well. I was at a friends house pulling an all-nighter. I believe it came on at 5 AM. So I just recorded the rest of the episodes since I didn't feel like getting up THAT early every day.

About the final four episodes of Guardian Force, it was The Ocean Group that delayed the translation and dubbing of the episodes for reasons I'm not sure. Once they finished though, Cartoon Network showed the Final Four episodes in January of 2003.

shocking that everyone remembers it airing i nthe morning. It started out repeating everytime. They figured, since its soo good, Imagine it being on Toonami. They should've thought of that in the first place but it was well worth it. Around 2k5 (i think) they aired Zoids Fuzors. I dont think it was that interesting since it didn't have the original characters. It wasn't too good.

I heard this Zoids Genesis takes place on the planet Zi. Is there any episode where Van and the gang come up?
