The Network: Green Day with Devo?
Hey there!
I just learned recently of the band's existence. I was a Green Day fan since 1995, smack-down in the middle of High School but the craze left me in 2001. Still like their stuff but moved on. Recently, I've had a bit of Green Day nostalgia and I roamed around the web for Green Day stuff that I might have missed; B-Sides, Live Performances (They rock live!) and others. I stumbled upon an article talking about a Green Day's Side Band called THE NETWORK that they created in 2003. It's suppose to be Green Day with two members of Devo playing some Spaced-Out Rock. Plus, they're dressed-up as goofy characters. Sure. Why not! I listened to their underground single called SUPERMODEL ROBOTS and I was hooked by that catchy song! Best new direction they ever took! I'm now in the process of looking for their first and only album called MONEY MONEY 20-20. Anyone heard of them? Here's their only video, it's for the song SUPERMODEL ROBOTS. Enjoy. SUPERMODEL ROBOTS Jam it back in, in the dark. |
