How much is ragnarok?

Im looking for a new mmo, and Iv heard good things about ragnarok, but how much is it a month?

Gechmir Jul 15, 2006 11:28 AM

Like, $12/month. Could've been solved by perusing their FAQ, though... >_>;

Link.

The_Gerbil_King Jul 15, 2006 11:37 AM

oh... ok, it just wasnt under payment info, so I was confused... also they talked about cash payment, can you just send them cash in an envelope?

Gechmir Jul 15, 2006 11:38 AM

It'd be best to take this up with them over the phone or by perusing their FAQ.

Check out the paybycash.com link they gave for info.

Gechmir Jul 15, 2006 11:43 AM

I would say that it isn't. I mean, twelve dollars is a very small amount if you have a job or some other source of income, but the game is not good enough to waste your time on. It's cute for a few weeks, and I like the graphics a lot, but after that it just gets mind-numbingly dull. If you really want to play an online RPGs, there are probably better choices.

I say the game needs very demanding chunk of time from your daily life. I personally find that it WILL get you bored unless you are interacting with friends [in real life]. Other then that, it is better off watch turtle move.

I found Ragnarok really really fun to start with, very easy and simple, but once I hit lvl 75 Wizard I got pulled into a guild and from then on hated it. I leveled Thief then up to 55 and hated that too. Play FFXI or WoW, much more gratifying.

persoanlly i love the game to death, just everything about it was amazing. Especially the scenery and music. The music is what had me sold. But with that said, ya when i played on iro way back when it was really fun. But now i stick to the private servers which has alot more to offer and you level up faster so i dont have to spend hours grinding for levels, and so i can get straight to the good stuff

Kimchi Oct 25, 2006 05:59 PM

Personally, after playing this game since grade seven this gets very repetitive. Now I am in grade ten, just quit from Ragnarök permanently from kRO.

These “good stuff” get really repetitive. Sure, there are tons of private servers but they think they are balancing classes out. But actually they are not.

For instance, snipers. Snipers are the class that has bee degraded in the world of Ragnarök Online. Now we come and face Lord Knights. Since their “berserk” ability, I do believe that Gravity have took off berserk skill off from Emp Room. (Not sure now, they done it back in January.)

Just don't play this game. Gets really annoying. Most servers shuts down eventually but most of them only lasts max half a year with decent amount of players. (No, Psi Ro doesn't count. Servers like Mob-RO would though since it was always 600++)

Forget porn, that's a total waste of money. It'll give you only 5 hours of enjoyment. With 12 dollars, you can try out FFXI if you're into a serious in-depth game with high tier magic spells. Plus, also refrain from introducing things such as porn in this subforum. The last thing we need is others adding more fuel to this so it bursts into a 'hueg like xbox' fire and ends up getting closed.

Frankly, I don't think there are any other games out there that delve into levels and levels of magic for various elements. Sure WoW has a developed system of magic, but it can't compare with FFXI. Example: Fire/Fire 1 > Fira/Fire II > Firaga/Fire III. But in FFXI, it's Fire, Fire II, Fire III, Fire IV, Fire V, Fire VI. And there are levels of their area effect spell: Firaga I, Firaga II, Firaga III, Firaga IV. There are ultimate versions as well: Flare, Flare II.

And before you even begin to compare WoW's magic with FFXI, don't forget that FFXI also expands this system of levels to other elements. How many elements of awe and power can be found in WoW?

Now, I'm not saying FFXI is better than WoW overall, but if you're paying around $12.00 a month, this is something to consider. Are you a crazed individual who wants alot of magic? FFXI is the way to go. Just know that with $12.99 per month, you'll need to maintain only one character. Additional characters cost an extra dollar to your monthly fee. So, for two characters, that'll be $13.99 a month.

I didn't enjoy FFXI... don't ask for detail... I just didn't enjoy it =X

Lineage II > FFXI. Play Linegae II, it is more complex than most other MMORPG when it comes to PvP, or should I say GvG. (with over 100 player each guild? It's freaking fun.)

I liked it when at first, one month was $12 and two months was $32 and they were saying something like "register for two months to save some REAL money".

... 12 + 12 = 24... (2 one month payment...)

32-24= 8... (Those bastards! They lied! Wow, anyone could have fell for that one.)

Hello, what's this!

I'm sure you can ask your general purpose questions in the pre-existing thread.
