I would have to say quite an impressive score you've got there. Is this draw three? Because I would play draw three solitaire on my cellphone (because there is no option for draw one) and you learn some pretty good techniques.

This reminds me of the only time I beat advanced minesweeper...

It's pretty easy to get above 10000. The trick is to right click often, and ... luck XD. My highest score was 13000s, but that's from way back then, so I don't have any proofs.

Yes, I play draw three, not one. Hydelloon that is QUITE the impressive score! :jealous:

11k? You're kidding, right? =P My little sister regularly scores 15k+. Her record is somewhere around 23,000~ ish. I think her game lasted like 15 seconds. >_O

I know she took screencaps of all of these games (she was having a pretty one-sided war against my dad for top score) but they all got lost the last time the harddrive died. :( Apparently she was at it again recently, because I found one shot of a 14k score.

what the hell do you mean, I need more posts before I can post URLs? what's up with that? at least it's easy to work around.

But yeah, it's pretty sick. Basically, click as fast as humanly possible, hold down Ctrl+A, and hope you get lucky. I can click significantly faster than she can, thanks to some fairly twitchy muscles, but if you click too fast, it sometimes won't register and the cards won't automatically go up to the top for you. Poo that. Also, for what it's worth, I'm pretty sure she does it on one draw.



You know what? I was going to do this big Solitaire FAQ once, to compete with someone's Tetris FAQ (which, IIRC, was never done =o). I might still have that folder on my laptop. I seem to remember getting a fair amount of stuff done. :tpg:

I play solitaire, but I play with actual cards, so I guess I don't apply. What a shame.

I'm also trying to find my collection of screenshots of other solitare games yielding much higher scores. From 7777-13k. If you remember from before the board crash, there was a journal post I made of finally attaining a score higher than 9999. Breaking that barrier of just 4 digit scores. But that was when I went under a different user name.

If you would have read any of the posts in this thread you should have seen that people have already posted a games that were 14K+ and 11k+.

ManifestDestiny - the link to that .png file doesn't seem to be working, is it just my computer? If other people are having problems can you make a new link?

Theres a way to get unlimited points in solitaire. I think it was the first bug I ever found in any game. Hint: It has something to do with right clicking...

I like playing for speed more than more points. I started playing draw three recently and have started trying to get under a minute. I've only done it once so far...

@wakarukaya: Right clicking? That's one I haven't heard of, surprisingly, unless I'm thinking of a different way of doing it. I know of a way to get infinite points using the Ctrl + A glitch, but that takes *forever*. You get about 10 points every couple of seconds...

Right clicking, in XP Solitaire anyway, moves all possible cards to the top. It really just saves time. What is Ctrl+A suppose to do? All it does for me is glitch the game a little and make the card stay on the screen, it doesn't give me any points...

In effect, it does the same thing as right clicking.

Freecell is better. :D

Yes, but it's different in a couple of ways. For example, if you've got Ctrl+A held down while rapidly clicking through the deck, cards will just go flying up to the top. Sometimes it doesn't work for no reason in particular, but that's just how it is. You need a good second or so for right-clicking, which makes it kind of useless IMO.

Also, there are glitches associated with Ctrl+A. That's what you mentioned, andkeener: if you press Ctrl+A when you're holding a card, it'll get glitched there. If you drag a card from a stack and press Ctrl+A, you will occasionally get some cards buried in the stack to go flying to the top -- but you can make the game unwinnable if, for example, you send an ace flying to the top but encounter the card again later on and can't get rid of it.



And freecell sucks, who are you kidding. =p

I have played Solitaire quite a number of times, but I still haven't managed to finish a game before. Like, I go good at the start of the Solitaire game, but later on I get stuck on what to do and end up starting a new game. Yeah, I am a loser :tpg:
