Slow Opera

I have this weird problem with my Opera. It's latest version, or that's what it says. Everytime I try to use it, it opens extremely slow, takes nearly minute to open it. I guessing the problem is in Opera, because Firefox doesn't do that, it opens in few seconds. But, I don't want to use Firefox as my default browser, I prefer Opera. Any kind of help is much appreciated. :)

Clear all your private data. (cache, url history, etc)

Nope, didn't help. That cut maybe few seconds off, but nothing more.

Turn off RSS feeds if you have them on.

clear your opera torrent downloads if you have any.

and i know this sounds dumb, but did that version used to be fast? if not you might want to think about going back to version 8 or so...

Yeah, it was quick at first. Previous version didn't ever have this kind of problem though...
I might try switching to the previous version, I'll see if that helps.

edit: Ok, this is getting annoying. I downgraded Opera from 9 to 8.54, and now it took nearly 5 minutes to open. What's with this stupid machine? :aargh:

That lag I'd blame on your computer, not Opera.

As to the Opera issues, clear your entire profile.
Not sure where Windows puts it (probably under Application Data somewhere), but that fixed all the issues my Opera 9 install was having on Linux.

Fun thing is those only happened after upgrading--fresh installs work fine.
