A+. I hadn't ever watched the Daily Show before, but Jon Stewart seems to be a hilarious and intelligent man. Recommended viewing.

I love the Daily Show. That was both funny and aggrevating. The 'insane jackasses' as Jon called them have no idea what gaming is. Playing one or two video or computer games does not a gamer make.

Rep. Joe Pitts really shocked me (my reaction was the same as Jon's) when he stated his opinion on which children he felt were more likely to be influenced by games like GTA: SA.

I seriousely don't think that guy was listening to his own statement very carefully. Considering that he listed some pretty important factor in someone's life in terms of their behavior there.

I dislike people. You know that somewhere, someone's saying that "why would a parent buy this game" and someone is responding "LOL IT'S JUST A GAME GAMES ARE FOR KIDS LOL" ad infinitum.

Still, it's also just the government looking for more ways to relieve parents of responsibility. "Your kid grows up dumb, or violent, or whatever? BLAME SOMEONE ELSE, NOT YOUR OWN SHODDY JOB OF RAISING KIDS"

That was pretty funny. I like Jon Stewart's take on what Lee Terry said. It's funny but also very true.

Why does Congress still pretend like they have absolutely no idea what's going on? They've done multitudes of studies on this subject already.

I like how the one guy basically implied only poor kids shouldn't play violent video games.

I didn't find this funny (like the host) in the same way I couldn't find David Letterman funny. Maybe it's an American thing.

The Congress are a bunch of jackasses though.

I love how they pulled the satirical POV at the end with San Andreas.

From what I've seen and played of games (much more recent than some Congressmen *coughPONGcough*), the rating system is fine. I can't comment on advertising on TV and such.

When I've bought a game from retailers that was rated M, I got asked for my ID. It's actually built into their system.

So the problem lies with parents, lol. (Like parents are ever gonna admit they're wrong. They're too busy play "D" rated games. :tpg: )

Don't you just love a country whose leaders feel they must dictate policy for things over which they have no understanding whatsoever?

That video is funny as hell, albiet sadly true.

Although the topic has loads of material to be funny, somehow I felt like another host might've done a better job. I don't see why all the Jon Stewart love comes from; same goes for the Daily Show. Everytime I flip to watch some of it, it seems like they're just trying too hard to be funny, or they just become plain pretentious. Sure, he's sarcastic and satirical. But his style doesn't really fly. Like the one segment about the "doo doop" sounds, he pulled it out way too long.

I do agree with the Letterman comparison - Letterman is not funny either.

Other than my short rant on the host, it's an okay bit.
