NBA Draft 2006

Welp, the NBA Draft is here Wednesday night. This sure doesn't feel like a very good draft to me, not a whole lot of talent out there. It is looking like one of those drafts where the real stars 10 years down the road will be found in the late first and early second rounds.

Bargnani could turn out to be a star, but he doesn't even average 15 points in Italy. What will he be like against elite competition? Tyrus Thomas is kind of like a quick Ben Wallace? Who really knows? He is more athlete than anything else. The picks of the lottery will probably be Brandon Roy (completely polished, ready for the NBA, perfect fit at his position) and Randy Foye (I've always been high on the guys who go to college for 4 years).

What about your team? Anyone you wanna get or trade your pick to get or for? Anyone you hear rumors about you absolutely want to stay away from? I've seen Jordan Farmar on a couple of draft boards for the Suns and holy crap keep him away. He's a leader, sure, but the Suns don't need someone so turnover prone. Steve Nash can dribble through defenders, Farmar is like a turnover waiting to happen. He doesn't have a long-range shot, can't pass, and can't defend. :\

Same goes for anyone that plays in Canada and isn't named "Vince", though.
