How to rip a PSP game
 

Sorry for the n00bish thread, but I think I'll find the most understandable answer here. Can someone please tell me what I need to rip a PSP game and how I go about doing it?

Most of people that do it use THIS. v0.2 UMD Dax Dumper allows you to dump your UMD to your PC via USB or WiFi. You're also able to dump UMD contents directly to your memory stick. The result can be in ISO, GZIP or DAX format.

Wait, does this mean the PSP doesn't have a headphone jack?
That sucks, mainly because if I buy one I can't use headphones. ;_;

Huh, what? It has a headphone jack Blue Kirby. Not sure what I'd do without it!
B4-Hunter is just pointing out that there is a way to directly extract music without doing a inline recording. Which by the way I never knew about it either, thanks B4-Hunter (but do I need to use a certain firmware version to use hacks in general? Sorry, I haven't read up on psp hacks in nearly a year.)

I never knew there was anything on that system worth ripping. ;)

Then again, I find myself playing so few video games these days anyway...
