My fucking headphone isn't working on one side!

This is, as I guess, somewhat computer related and help desk related since it's the main method I listen to music from the computer.

I have a Sennheiser HD 495 pair of head phones for about 3 to 4 years now.
I've noticed that the right side of the speaker phones don't function anymore. I've tried to check the connection of the wires, but still it looks okay. Is there anything I can do to get it back working? $150 doesn't just float around easily to get some decent replacement headphones. I really hope I don't have to get new headphones, but if I have to, then it's better than the crap ass Creative CS 120 desktop speakers I have.

The best thing to do is to test them on another item, just to make sure it's really the headphones and not the computer speakers or some stupid balance setting or the like.

I've tried these on the TV and still the same problem, as well as the balance control is at the center. Damn!

I'm not sure if your model has them, but you should be able to detach the cable from both "speakers" and then order a replacement from the Sennheiser web site. This has happened two times now with my HD497 and it has solved the issue on both occasions.

Yes, the cable is detachable, but the website isn't working. Google time.

Just tested the link, and it was woking just fine. Anyway, the model number on that cable is H-83380, in case that would work for you.
