Is there any software to separate vocal and audio?
 

I wonder if someone expert in audio editing here? is there any particular software to separate voice and audio from a track?

If you are talking a stereo audio track... Yes, but no. Usually vocals (on CD specifically) put the vocals at center, which means that for the left and right channels, the vocal is identical. There are very common softwares that can isolate the differences between the left and right channels, thereby "taking out" the vocal track. However, anything else that is identical between the left and right channels is gone as well (bass/low-end frequencies for example).

So, in non-techy terms, yes you can but not as much as you would like, and only if the recording is typical.

If it is a 5.1 mix, then the story is different because 99.9% of the time the center channel has specifically vocals. Any 5.1 program can deal with these channels independantly. Start with BeLight (use google) and then have it decode to 6 individual wave channels.

If you dont know what I'm talking about, forget about doing what you want to do because it isn't easy, and you probably wouldn't like the results that you get anyway.

I could understand about that channel stuff. So what software I should use? I dont think this track is 5.1 channel. I use goldwave a lot, but it seems the software couldnt separate the vocal and audio. =/

It won't be labeled as vocal cut because there is "no such thing". There are methods to vocal cut (like channel mixing, or EQ band adjusting), but not a "way" to do it.

I have Cool Edit 2000 which has a "channel mixer" function that allows channel L-R seperation adjustments. Try looking in your program for channel mixing/mapping.
