With the upcoming release of the expension back, this game should get rolling again. No monthly costs and the fact that it's stand-alone will make this a joy for many MMORPG-lovers (and WoW-haters or people who have a problem with monthly costs). Post your name, server and level.

I've called my local ebgames store 5 times in the passed week, asking about the pre-order box. THe one that gives you the goodies like the beta event cd-key and such. They don't know a thing about it, and even said Canada might not even get the pre-order package, which really sucks :(

So with the pre-order box you can enter some event? I'll have to see if they have any around.

Thats what comes with the pre-order box. But nobody seems to know about it. only that you can pre-order it normaly like you would any other game. They don't know about the goodies.

Why doesn't the European boxed pre-order pack come with a preview at 24 March? And 24-hours-before-the-official-release-date? What is this? GFF?

It does. Both American and European pre-order packages get the preview event and the 24 hour before thing as well.

Yea, they are releasing the European box-release on the 31st. So no preview if you want a boxed copy ._.

:( well, considering we dont get any pre-order goodies at all here (so sais all the ebgames I called) Im worse off then you, cause you GET the box, (albeit a bit late) :p

I bought Guild Wars just last week, I haven't had a chance to knuckle down and play it as of yet though, but you can find me on the American districts. I will first put in a month or two at least before I consider buying factions.

I have 1 Guild Wars invitation for the Factions preview event weekend on the 24th of March, anybody who is interested in an invite please PM me before it goes

XHG is dead... it died 2 months in I think, with everyone splitting up to do their own thing.

You should only need the key if you don't own Prophecies, thus disabling you from participating in the BPE.

At least that's how ANet described it to everyone. I'd probably get it anyway just so my Ritualist will have something to use. :cow:

Also each Guild Wars account holder can send up to three invitations, you can do this after logging in.

Right. Pre-ording only lets you play Factions 24 hours before the rest of the world can

Wonder how many people are going to go out of their way to start a Canthan character in Tyria and beat the entire Prophecies campaign in the timeframe of those 24 hours then go nuts in Factions.

Although they would probably prefer to massively redeem their faction for skills then run through the game getting the rest of them, then go back into HoH with their pro builds.

And especially for Europe that's a bit weird to do, since you can only get the boxed version from 31 March and on ._. I want some proof I bought this when I'm old and I show my family what MMORPGs were back in the ol' days.

Haha... That would be crazy. Im going to make a new character in Factions. Im still wondering if I should merge acounts. 2 extra slots and have my ch.1 charries run through Cantha? or 4 new slots of just Cantha.

I guess you can always let your guild add your alt, right?

edit: if you even care about that - if not I'd go for it.

I'd do it incase they discriminate and make some special stuff for linked accounts only.

Some kind of prize. Gaile (Anet reprasentative) said they will be giving out that info on the GW site i nthe next 24 hours. So just sit tight and wait :P

Wow, I was thinking the expansion was free, like all of their other expansions. I guess the other expansions were just small little "fixes". Oh well, I tried my absolute hardest to get into this game and it just didn't interest me. Maybe I just got tired of playing with random people all the time. :\

Guild Wars is a good game. Like most MMOs, though, it's only any good if you play it a lot.

I have a couple of level 20s, and I am always in the American servers. I was actually thinking of getting a GFF guild together. There probably is enough people to make one, and then, of course, we can recruit once we have good enough members. PVP will just kick so much ass with GFF members.

Anyone down? I can pay all the fees for a guild (cape, hall, etc), I got some money.

I think to be an effective PVP guild, you would need to be a bunch of real life friends and not some random joes. But I suppose a community of random joes would work... Also, its an absolute must that you have either Team Speak or Ventrillo, or theres no way you'll be able to co-ordinate your attacks.

Get those, and yeah sure, I'll probably join. I've been guildless for a while now. I have a bunch of invites too. All random. Don't plan on joining any of em.
