badminton racquet

Does anyone know the exact design of a badminton racquet's handle? I bought a 35 dollar racquet from SportsCheck 2 weeks ago and used it about 6 times (~2 hours per practice), and it snapped on me.

I took a look at the handle, and it seems like it's made of cheap wood where the top half of the wooden handle is solid core while the bottom half is hallow; this probably explains why it snapped... I'm planning on buying a better one, but I'm afraid it'll break on me again if it has the same design (I'm a noob at badminton, so I don't know if all the racquet handle is the same or not), please give me some advice, thanks.

This site explains some basic information about the shape. Maybe you'll find it useful.

I don't know too much about badminton, but my friend is obsessed and I can't believe he went through all the trouble of going to Paragon [best sporting goods store in the world] in NYC and bought a $220 racquet for like $160... including tax.

I don't see the value, but he nearly orgasmed at the price. I'll get you his SN if you want, but he knows his shit.

Thanks for the site Rydia, although it doesn't have the information I need on racquet handles, it does provide useful tips when buying a racquet.

Void, I guess your friend must be a pro at badminton, because I know there are a lot of people going crazy after a good racquet, especially if they can get it at a good price. Please give me your friend's MSN, I really like to learn more about the racquet before I buy another one. Thanks for your help!
