Move The Back Page to Forum Home
 

I think Sports is a big enough of a category to have its own spot on the main page of the board. What do you think? Should we move "The Back Page" out of Media Centre?

Whether sports is a big enough discussion area is, I think, secondary to the amount of traffic the particular sub-forum receives. It's busy at the moment because of the World Cup but it's generally pretty quiet in there the rest of the year.

It's your forum though, dude. Shift it if you want to. :)

Yeah other than this World Cup stuff and a professional wrestling thread, it is hardly active. I think it is fine where it is. But maybe moving it to somewhere more visible could net some more participants out of people who never knew it was there. It wouldn't hurt to try it and see.

We're nerds. The majority of us watch anime. Thus, we hate sports. I think its fine hidden away where its at right now. If you wanna move it out during each sport's playoffs, go for it! :p

The main activity now happens in the worldcup subforum, besides that, it's mostly concentrated in about five threads. Moving it somewhere where it can reach a larger crowd like maybe general discussion could help making it more popular?

Well, one of the reasons why it's hardly active might be that it's a subforum. Perhaps moving it to the front page would help make it more lively.

If even the Kitchen is on the main page, then sports probably should as well. :)

I wouldn't mind seeing it on the main page as well. It might become a little more active if people are able to see it easier.

I'd say go ahead and move it to the front page. I'm a Media Centre junkie, so I'd rather see it by itself anyway (now I need to make a plot to get rid of that comic book forum :sneaky: )

I'm definitely for putting it up higher. I don't post in their much, but not much goes on. Maybe its a visibility issue, maybe not, but I think it would still be useful on top.

We should move it into the moderator hut for lol.

Seriously though, I'm totally cool with putting it on the front page as a stand alone sports forum just to see how it does. The forum itself already has more posts than some of the current forums listed there.

I wouldn't mind seeing it... I never understood why it was a subforum in the first palce, to be honest.

well I guess if we have a forum just for food discussion we can have one just for sport (even if it doesn't interest me XD)

Front of course, since Sports take priority over much of the stuff here. Well for me that is.
