DOA MOVIE

well as the chain of movies based on games contenue here is a new link in the chain. Yes Dead Or Alive. I played the game here and there but never really got a full experiance untill I got DOA ultimate which I played online alot. Since then like any new game I play I go back and play the other instalments. I became a fan and at first was excited at the news of the new movie. I saw the casting and was disappointed but not surprised. I know that no movie based on a videogame will ever be actualy good. Some descent but not yet good. Anyways I saw the trailer and was even more down about the movie. Something in me still wants to check it out anyway I am not sure what it is...I am pissed of at who plays kasumi!!! WTF man?

anyway if you havent seen the trailer yet here it is. What are youre feelings on this new flick?

Hm.. DOA..

My dick feels funny. Everything else is crap.

Magi Jun 16, 2006 03:17 AM

Man, why does this feel like a parodies of Charles Angel? I don't remember all the girls in the game all buddy-buddy like. Actually, I think this might just be so bad that it is good, at least it doesn't seem to be taking itself too seriousely.

Oh yeah, we have seem it before.

Looks just horrible enough to be awesome. Double points for using ACDC to promote a film this long after the eightie's

Tellurian Jun 16, 2006 06:34 AM

Watch out Doktor Boll! This one's gonna steal your oscar away like you were a baby and the golden boy candy! That's right!

Might thoughts exactly. I've not looked at the trailer linked in the first post, but I assume it's the same as the one that floating about a while back. So bad it's got to be good.

Sian Jun 16, 2006 09:54 AM

It does look like another Charlie's Angels flick, might be entertaining since it doesn't look like it's taking itself too seriously. Can anyone name all of the female characters there? I recognise 2 maybe 3. Can't remember there being so many blondes o_O

Kolba Jun 16, 2006 10:02 AM

Holly Valance on the comeback trail.

eriol33 Jun 16, 2006 10:15 AM

Oh my god. I have read several references about the upcoming of this movie. I'm sure this one wouldnt get enough attention in public. Much game-to movie adaptation look like a parody for me.

This movie barely have aspect from DoA. It only pays license for using the title. other than that... I dont think so ><

Sarmoti Jun 16, 2006 10:25 AM

This movie emits a 'Direct-to-DVD' odor. It doesn't even look like it would be something thats going to be heading to theaters.

I nearly died of laughter when I saw this picture.

EVERYTHING IS TOO WHITE/AMERICAN AND NOT BUSTY ENOUGH!!

LMAO
Is this spin off of Kill Bill the movie or what?
This DOA movie crap actually = Charlie Angels + Kill Bill katana.

You can see the sticker for his mohawk on his head. That's clearly intentional.

eriol33 Jun 16, 2006 11:00 AM

who is that character modeled from? I dont play DoA so much so I dont even have clue about how the story goes.

WolfDemon Jun 16, 2006 11:22 AM

Is he supposed to be Zack or something? He was never an evil, possibly rapist character in the games. As for the women, I can easily identify Kasumi, Ayane, and Tina, the one next to Kasumi is probably Helena, but I just can't figure out who the one in the center is. Maybe she's a horribly butchered Christie?

Gechmir Jun 16, 2006 12:03 PM

YES. I WILL BRING A CAMERA AND FAP ALL OVER THIS.

Looks sooooooo laaaaaaaaaaame >< Ugh. No wonder folks have no respect for gamers. "This is based off a game? What loser would wanna play that~ Horrible story."

I'm afraid of Metal Gear Solid Movie. I'm afraid ;_;

Sarmoti Jun 16, 2006 01:20 PM

The only actor I can identify on that list is Kane Kosugi(who played Katsunori Kazama in Godzilla Final Wars).

He's really lowering his standards with this.

eriol33 Jun 16, 2006 01:26 PM

I think this game is just not suited to become a live-action movie, especially handled by hollywood. It's amazing how tecmo actually giving license to use DoA title.

I wonder if we will see Tekken the Movie in hollywood version someday like this one.

WolfDemon Jun 16, 2006 01:36 PM

Seraph is Hayate. All is lost. All is looooost!

eriol33 Jun 16, 2006 01:44 PM

LMAO
xDD

I suppose tecmo wants to popularize their DoA franchise, but since they dont have enough rendering technology like Square Enix did with FF AC, they using live action instead! But I wonder why they dont use japanese people instead, that's what I confused from japanese. They always think their product need to be westernized first before they throw it in the western market, (FF Spirit Within, anyone?)

RadioDaze Jun 16, 2006 04:10 PM

Hahahahahah.....god this looks pathetic. Can you say "direct to DVD!"

Because I'm sure the overal shitty movie would have been much better had they changed the models and textures for the characters.

That's funny...mine too. Wait, there's a film behind the groin pain?

Double Post:
Jaime Pressly as Tina = good decision. She seems just skanky enough to pull off Tina.

Lost_solitude Jun 18, 2006 06:55 PM

AND WHY THROW DIRT ON KASUMI LIKE THAT WHYYYYYYYYYY?!! Kasumi was never that ugly. I also agree with the blond thing. Why the hell is ayane there? she should be trying to kill kasumi. And why the hell is kasumi played by an ugly girl talking english? Zack does look gay so that works I guess.
