[SOLVED] BOBO! Seeing only one poster's replies in a thread

This is the feature I miss the most. When you click on the number of replies to a thread, and get a list of all the posters in that thread, you used to be able to click on the number next to each person's name and get a list of only that person's posts. It's a handy feature under normal situations, and for a thread like the Werewolf game, it's almost a necessity. Having to wade through a dozen pages looking for an individual poster's comments is enough to drive a person mad. Can someone bring this feature back?

Franky Mikey Jun 12, 2006 05:46 PM

I second this. It's an extremely convenient feature which I've missed a lot since the crash.

Third! If only to see people that dislike other members use that feature to bring up said posters msgs to use a proof of spamming/trolling.

It would be somewhat neat though.

HELLO THERE

Franky Mikey Jun 29, 2006 08:58 PM

BUMP!

Seriously. Could this be brought back? It's REALLY useful when moderating threads with several thousands of posts.

Dhsu Jun 29, 2006 09:04 PM

Couldn't the "Search this thread" feature serve as a rough approximation?

Franky Mikey Jun 29, 2006 09:16 PM

Except it displays posts as search results, not as a thread (and thus without any of the mass delete moderation options).

I will put this item on my list of things to do!

Luxo Jun 29, 2006 10:30 PM

And that means we're never going to get it, right?

Be nice.

We got Chocopie back, so maybe we'll get this, too.

Is the "My Posts" link on that list?

I second this asking!

Well?

nuttyturnip Jul 7, 2006 06:14 PM

The next game of Werewolf will be getting underway soon, and the game would be much easier with this feature, so a bump (albeit one with little hope) is in order.

Franky Mikey Jul 15, 2006 03:17 AM

Hello. :)

Bigblah Jul 15, 2006 05:46 AM

I've implemented this (had to convert the available code on the vBulletin forums -- which happened to be a port of bobo's original code, too -- into plugin form) and it seems to be working okay so far. Test it for me please!

Franky Mikey Jul 15, 2006 06:03 AM

It's PERFECT. <3

nuttyturnip Jul 15, 2006 07:58 AM

HUZZAH, it works! Thanks Bigblah!

Rydia Jul 15, 2006 02:21 PM

Thanks a lot for bringing this back, Blah. It makes modding a little easier for me now.

Lord Styphon Jul 15, 2006 03:58 PM

It even works for multiple pages now. Thanks for restoring and vastly improving this.

Soluzar Jul 15, 2006 04:40 PM

I've never known a forum with as much custom code as this one. It's very impressive. This isn't the kind of feature I'd use every day, but I can imagine some times when I'd want this.

Thanks, Blah!

Bigblah Jul 15, 2006 10:50 PM

For the multiple pages fix, you'd have to thank Parker Clack on vbulletin.org, who found the solution and ported bobo's code over to vB 3.5. All I did was to convert it into plugin form (i.e. eliminate edits to original php files).
