Problem With Nero
On my desktop, Nero worked fine. On my notebook, the recorder is Image Recorder [CD-R/RW] and it won't change to my drive. Everytime I burn, it just burns the image to my computer. I bought Roxio and I haven't opened it. This seems a Nero problem because all my other program (WMP, Yahoo Jukebox all other shitty Dell shit on here) reads my drive. Any ideas? Should I open Roxio?
Is your hardware recorder in the pulldown list of drives, or is the Image Recorder the only option?
Just the Image Recorder. Is this a compatibility problem?
if only show Image Recorder, maybe your driver have problem
How so? I just burned a CD with WMP.
Did you install NERO before you installed your drive+driver? You could try wiping NERO from your system and re-installing.
No, I had Nero on my desktop, my dad bought me this notebook and I put Nero on it and it won't burn.
So did you get this taken care of yet? I never DID find my copy of Nero 6 to send you, so what you have now may be the best thing you can use until you fix that problem.
I also recommend checking with the manufacturer of your notebook and see if they have any updates that fix this problem. I know it's a long shot considering how well most manufacturers actually update their systems and drivers, but it's probably worth it anyway. |
Some Nero installs are locked to a certain manufacturer of drive or even a certain drive. The copy of Nero that came with my CD Burner will only work with my CD Burner.
Though if that's not the problem then I don't know. You could install Nero Burnrights (free from their site), maybe that'd fix it. Perhaps Nero has decided you don't have the privelages to use the burner ~ |
I downloaded the Nero 7 Ultra Trial and it works fine. The Nero version I have I believe my friend downloaded cause it had a keygenerater with it. It worked on her computer and mine. Just not this one.
But does anyone recommend I open and use this Roxio program? |
I have never particularly cared for the Roxio stuff and I always liked Nero, but I would advise that you find a "trial" version of Roxio and see if you like it before you decide to open the box. I'm sure there are people out there who prefer Roxio to Nero, which is fine, that is what they make trial downloads for.

Best advice so far. Now I want my nero fixed =p
Roxio is the suck. I've had so many problems with it. Get a keygen for Nero 7.
