Wetsuit does it really keep you warm?
Does a wetsuit truly keep you warm or is it more of a looks type of thing. For some reason I tend to have more of a problem when it comes to adjusting to cool water as oppose to super hot water. If a wetsuit truly works, I may invest in one.
For those out there that are on top of these things, which brands do you prefer? |
they are designed to trap water in the suit, and your body will warm up the water making you warm eventually. You just have to suffer the initial shock first... I don't know anything abot brands though
|
Yes, they actually do. I'm no wetsuit expert, but from personal experience, it does help quite a bit.

after a major miscalculation - I ended up wearing one all day during a boat trip (I thought we were just going out for an hour), in like 40oC weather.
Yes, it keeps you warm. |
Wetsuits are designed to keep you warm - the material is constructed from materials of fabric, synthethic membranes and rubber designed to reflect cold and retain heat.
There are wetsuit caps and gloves out there designed for the same purpose too. |
