Newest game from Idea Factory, a SRPG featuring characters from Growlanser, Gungrave, Shadow Hearts, Neverland and some other series... in stores September, PS2 exclusive...

Gechmir Jun 7, 2006 10:09 AM

Ahahah! Yuri! Badass! ;D I love Strategy RPGs. I'm going to definitely look into this, IF it comes state-side. That company's stretch of series hasn't been particularly popular over here, I'm afraid.

JazzFlight Jun 7, 2006 10:43 AM

FUCK, you just know this game isn't coming out here, just like NamcoXCapcom...

This sucks, man. Gungrave, Growlanser and Shadow Hearts? You're killing me, Japan.

Bradylama Jun 7, 2006 10:49 AM

Yes, killing us with anime-ish crossover series. Comic book crossovers are always a huge disjointed mess, and this doesn't look to be any different.

I mean, Gungrave? Wow, I am so totally stoked about this. =/

Maybe Nippon Ichi of America might wanna translated it. They're the SRPG type fore-runners these days.

Man Gungrave has to be one of the best anime series ever. Can't say the same for the game though hehe.

Yeah, Nippon Ichi did bring Idea Factory's Generation of Chaos over, maybe they'll bring Chaos Wars as well. We can only hope.

I saw the over at ATLUS's boards and I said the same thing about Growlanser, Gungrave and Shadow Hearts. I mean, what could be cooler than Grave and Yuri doing some kind of team attack mixing harmonixer monsters and Demolition shots?

There is slight chance that NISA could bring it over since they have some kind of deal going on with Idea Factory but I think that was just with PSP games though. Oh well, I can wait to here some solid info on it to see it the gameplay is up to par with the character selection.

This game doesn't look bad. I'm a SRPG fan, so I'll probably try it anyway.

Gechmir Jul 31, 2006 12:47 PM

If it comes here =( Nippon Ichi might snag it, if anyone I'd think.

I registered just to say this. I've imported this game, and it's awesome. I kind of... err... fumble my way through (like I do with most imported games), but it's really worth the $60+ to get it. The character designs are great. I'm a huge Shadow Hearts fan, so that's what prompted me to buy it. Totally the right decision (even if I have a limited idea of what's going on, it was still worth it). I really, really hope it gets ported to the US, but I think there might be copyright issues (unfortunately).

Oh man. I want to play it if only to see what happens with Grave and Bunji. (Saw him all bandaged up like in OD for a split second.)

lia Nov 28, 2006 04:39 AM

It's funny to see all the characters as mm... well, chibis. The AV of Alice I'm using is her new character design from the game. Good luck if you decide to give it a go. My Japanese dictionary is getting a lot of use right now.

Been said already - this won't be localized.

Well, of course if it goes PAL then import time.
