Although we don't really have any content right now other than the board, what can we put on the homepage (http://www.gamingforce.com)?Although we will be getting content this summer, with the planned development of Gamingforce Audio, anyone have any ideas?

For the time being I just updated it to something simple.

You know, it kind of looks like GFF got nuked there.

It's only fitting.

Anyway, I'd kind of like to see a few "hot links" to interesting journal material, or maybe an important thread. Sort of a breakdown on what's happening on GFF. Maybe some news links, weather, etc. I wouldn't hesitate to make GFF my homepage if some features like this were to be added.

Edit: By the way, what's the plan for the new GF Audio? Is it going to be a torrent tracker, as proposed here before?

I thought that I was going to read an announcement that GFHome or wtv it was called was back online. I kinda miss that as my home page. How about you put that back up (if you can)?

And while I'm poking fun at you, bobo, do you plan to implement that sort of portal system that you had with news, and links etc.? it's better than just a picture of the gf servers going down again.

Bobo, since you mentioned GamingForce Audio... do you still have the stuff you coded originally for it, like the beta stuff we toyed with, or are we going to try a completely new direction?

We used to have an FAQ link on the front page back before the last crash. Maybe we can make a more recent one.

I don't remember how much we had long long ago, but I remember us having some.

When I first saw that page after posting for the first time I couldn't stop laughing for a while. Putting that back after posting would make the GFF feel more like it was before, but if people want a new experience, then something better has been thought of in its place.



Since GFWiki is present on the site, doesn't that mean that the GFA code would be saved as well? Did no one make any local backups or was it all down remotely?

GFWiki is hosted on Bigblah's private webspace.

I personally liked the old street session background.. the one that said "Best damn community period". Also, I think it should include basic stats about the forums... Registered users, # of posts, # of threads, etc. Just in the corner, out of the way.
