A lot of the songs in Kingdom Hearts 2 are taken from other sources. In this case, "He's a Pirate" comes directly from the Pirates of the Carribean soundtrack, so Hans Zimmer is indeed the composer. Yoko Shimomura just rearranged the song for the game.

Interesting, because I didn't know that Hans Zimmer composed the piece. Most sources I've read seem to credit Klaus Badelt for the movie's score (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0046004/ , http://www.soundtrack.net/soundtracks/database/?id=3468 , http://www.moviemusic.com/soundtrack...fthecaribbean).

After browsing the IMDB profile of Zimmer a little bit more, it seems like he's worked as "music programmer" and "music editor" the the music of Pirates of the Caribbean. There's no evidence that he composed "He's a Pirate", though, from what I see. A mistake on IMDB, perhaps?

*He's a Pirate (DISC2-09)
Music by Klaus Badelt, Geoffrey Zanelli and Hans Zimmer

Klaus Badelt is one employee of Hans Zimmers Media Ventures.
Hans Zimmer was the Producer and Synth Programmer, Klaus Badelt was the Composer, Jim Dooley, Ramin Djawadi and Blake Neely did the additional music

Considering that that track has the 'main theme' element to it, I'd imagine it is likely that Zimmer composed that track (and the others arranged that theme to produce some of the other tracks.)

Great soundtrack, okay film :/

Okay, now that the question has been answered, I don't see this thread going anywhere useful.
