Why is this so much better than American music videos?

That is quite possibly the magnum opus of camp.

Neogin May 19, 2006 05:56 PM

Funny thing is, I'm Indian, yet I can't understand a single word he's saying.

And yeesh, this song is old..but yeah, that's the Indian music/movie industry for ya. Random dancers, love songs, and all..

Dee May 19, 2006 06:24 PM

Although an old fad (I remember this like five years ago), it's funny. But not necessarily better than American music vids. Funnier, yes. The special effects are passable.

Magi May 19, 2006 06:32 PM

I think the "better then American music video" part is sorta of sarcasm.

So this is where that song is from. LOL

NaklsonofNakkl May 19, 2006 06:44 PM

i am confused on wither to be scared or to just laugh...i think i managed to do both!

Not really. As far as keeping me entertained, it's gone further in that regard than most videos I've seen lately. Then again, I find myself entertained by some really horrible shit

I think in order to officially declare it as "better than American music" would require some ability to interpret the lyrics. If it's nothing more than blah blah blah blee dee blee dee blee dee blah de boo, then forget it, American music would already have cuffed it and reeled it in for slavery.

From the introduction of this video, you would think he's mubbling jibberish just for rhythm, I do not believe so. He's speaking Indian and how many of us are fluent with that language? For all we know, he could be saying actual words with meaning.

Dullenplain May 20, 2006 10:37 PM

Sooo 2003. Back then, my friends and I were trying to do some of the dance moves from the video while the music is playing, only to end up unable to continue because we were laughing too hard.

I never said "better than American music", I said, "better than American music videos". That said, the song itself is pretty catchy.

And for those who have seen this before, my bad; I have no way of telling what's new and what's old.

Spatula May 23, 2006 11:48 PM

Wow, for some reason I almost never listen to Indian music, but I somehow recall hearing this. Catchy music. Wanna JUMP JUMP JUMP. Yeah, I really don't know how to "groove" with this music, but it's makes your head shake from side to side.

Arkhangelsk May 24, 2006 01:07 AM

The song was used in AMV Hell: the motion picture... it's actually a good song, but this video makes me sad :(. It would be hilarious if they broadcasted it on MTV2/VH1 for whatever reason, though. It's right up there with Moscow...

Jonathan Ingram May 24, 2006 04:22 PM

Yeah, who did Moscow again?

Spatula May 24, 2006 04:45 PM

Regarding Moscow - the song by German dance-act Dschinghis Khan, I should check it out again, care of the Internet.

Ryuu May 24, 2006 05:40 PM

At first I expected it to be a song I've never heard before, but I've definitely recalled hearing this song once or twice.

Video wasn't what I expected though.

majario Jun 4, 2006 11:42 PM

I don't know. I liked the music video and the song is very catchy. The beat to this song and what he is saying is infectious. When I saw this I even started to do his dances while laughing at the same time. If I saw this on mtv I would definitely vote it supreme over the rest of the videos b/c it's different from everything else (though I may be the only one voting for it). I'm tired of seeing the same old stuff in American music videos.

LUCKYSTRIKE Jun 6, 2006 10:14 AM

Those guys look like they are 40, is that popular in ... whereever?

nazpyro Jun 6, 2006 04:41 PM

The Indian student group at my school did some crazy choreography to this song years back. Hilarious stuff.

schneid Jun 9, 2006 12:42 AM

The song is slightly less annoying than Philippine non-indie music. -_-

Those Indian guys were kind of scary.

Trigunnerz Jun 9, 2006 03:34 AM

This is the best music video.

I'll bet you'll agree after watching it.
