Titan Quest

Titan Quest is the name of a game that is apparantly a Diablo-killer.

Quote:

In Titan Quest, players will take an epic journey through such fabled locations as the Parthenon, the maze of Knossos, the Great Pyramids and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. With an arsenal of more than a thousand pieces of unique and legendary equipment, players will have to overcome terrifying monsters and mythical beasts in their quest to save humankind from the Titans.
I just noticed there is a FilePlanet-only demo, but I'm not sure if non-subscribers can download it. Anyway, I'm getting it, so I might be able to share.

Doh yea I think its for subscribers only. I'm really interested in this game and hoping it turns out good in the end. Seems like it could be pretty addicting and the graphics look great also. Hopefully this turns out a great game.

Please share the demo Grawl - I'd love to try this game.

This game looks pretty good. From what I can see, it looks more like Champions of Norath-style gameplay rather than Diablo (I haven't seen a game yet that comes close to Diablo's mass-creature fighting and speed at it). I hope the characters are plenty customizable though, as that would be nice.

You know, it's really funny, considering how old Diablo II is and companies are still trying to make a game that's better than it, yet Blizzard won't get off their collective asses and make a D3. All they can think about is Warcraft and the free money they rake in because of it. Seeing as there are umpteen games with a Diablo-style gameplay, we know there's a huge market for it, so why don't they do it? Someday, maybe...I guess it only has been 7 years...wouldn't want Blizzard to actually hurry at anything...

Blizzard is making way too much money with World of Warcraft to worry about doing anything else. That's probably why Starcraft: Ghost is on indefinite hiatus as well.

If it's Champions of Norrath-style gameplay, then I hope it's actually better than it. I've only played Return to Arms, but from what I saw, it was pretty much just a complete, shameless ripoff of Diablo II. Heh. And it didn't have nearly as many skills are as much variety.

Alright, just played the retail version. So far it's not shocking, but didn't get further than level 3. I'll play it some more tonight.

I have played it for like 5 hours. It's pretty cool. It focuses a great deal on hack & slash. It's a lot like Diablo, except it's in ancient greece. The only downside to this game is that it's a little buggy. 5 hours playtime = 6-7 crashes.

I've played a bit of it and it isn't that bad. I was sick of those Diablo copy but this one seem somewhat good.
But I probably won't play it in the near future because I'm playing Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.
