Super Princess Peach

Anyone else playing this? It is easy, like everyone says, but it's still a lot of fun. I do like challenges, but there's a lot to say about a game that just lets you have a good time. Also when it comes to portable gaming, I'm not really looking for a challenge anyway. My only problem is that Peach is almost too cute for me to concentrate on the game. No, not cute in that way. I mean cute like a puppy.

This game has been compared to Super Mario Bros. 2.

I hope that ain't the case.

How does Princess get a game but Toad can't get his own game. There is no justice in the silly world of video games.

nitsu Mar 3, 2006 01:53 PM

The game is easy, you don't really die, if you run out of hearts you just have to start the level over again, but you keep whatever toads (and other stuff I guess too) you found before you "died". But just because it's easy doesn't make the game any less enjoyable. The bosses are challenging because the hints you get before the battle don't tell you everything you need to know in how to dispatch them.

The game is perfectly suited for on the go, you can save mid level and start back up where you left off if you have to stop playing, as long as you tell the game you want to quit.

The game is a blast. 20 years+ waiting for the ending. ^^

Sin Ansem Mar 3, 2006 03:52 PM

From what I played, easy.

And fortunately on mute. But amusing nonetheless. And fun.

Yeah, where the hell is a Toad game.

Anyway I'll probably pick this up. Not because I'm a wapanese with really good taste in games, but mostly because I've always wondered what century Nintendo would eventually decide to release games involving Peach, Toad, Koopa and the others as their main characters.

I'm sick of Mario games. This sounds really interesting.

Is Super Princess Peach only for DS?

Yeah, of course. What, do you expect a Nintendo title to be released on PS2 or xbox?

Magic Mar 3, 2006 05:44 PM

It probably would've worked on the GBA, but at this point the DS seems more popular. In any case, it's great that they've finally given Peach a game, though I wonder if some may find the easiness a bit insulting.

No. I was just hoping it was out for GBA SP. Sadly I don't have a DS.

My sister got this game yesterday, and from watching her play it looks pretty stupid to me. I'll just wait for New Super Mario Bros.

Proto Mar 4, 2006 01:36 AM

I've been meaning to get this game, but considering that it's considerably "easy" to finish in one sitting, if possible, I'll wait to make a purchase on the game, if it's still around. It looks adorable. ^_^

Touch elements dude. And get a DS man. You're so out of the loop. :cow:

Kairyu Mar 4, 2006 02:43 AM

From the current reviews it appears to be a fun game. The difficulty level is a turn off but I'm itching to play something new on my DS. Then again... Tetris DS will be released in less than three weeks.

Oh choices, choices.

I would so buy a game starring Toad...assuming it was on a system I own. I'm not sure why I like the little guy so much, though. It's not like he ever really does anything. Maybe's the red spots. Yeah, that must be it.

VG preordered Princess Peach, am I right lolol.

Seriously don't bother with Tetris DS over this. This looks like a great game, even if it is easy. I find that too many good games consist of too much quality, not enough game. God of War and Devil May Cry 1 immediately come to mind. There's 2 great games which weren't very long at all, and that's usually how it goes.

If this is as fun as Yoshi's Story (take that any way you like), then I will be MORE than happy with this.

LOL Yoshi's Story was (for me at least) no fun... a complete let-down after Yoshi's Island.

Hope they won't look at me strange when a 21-year-old male walks in to buy this Wednesday :(

The commercial for this game I thought was rather funny. Putting young girls through a sort of boot camp style training with Princess Peach dresses. haha.

My sister was thinking about picking up this game, but from how easy it looks, she might end up beating it too quickly to even enjoy it.

Jinzo Mar 10, 2006 01:27 PM

This game is a aweome. I just got it and all I have to say that I'm impress with this game. Basically if you love Mario games, this is one that one must not miss. Sure it maybe a little bit easier than the other games, but still this game is very enjoyable. Pick this game up and give a try. You'll like it
P.S.
By the way anybody has ripped the OST? lol

skankcore Mar 10, 2006 10:16 PM

i got this game the day after it came out and haven't been playing non stop or anything but it is quite enjoyable. i'm up to 5-2 and having a blast so far. it has elements of kirby: canvas curse as far as collecting mechanics go, mario 2 and yoshi's island influences in gameplay, a shop system that keeps things fresh for a while and even some surprise replayability. it is extremely polished with excellent, widely varying animations (background and foreground) and feels like a mario game after getting used to everything. i'd recommend it to any platformer nut, mario fan, or nintendo fan in general. it's a very solid game that tends to be easy going rather than frustrating (except for a couple intense bosses); while not taking advantage of the DS in any specific way, instead incorporating a little of all the features (sans Wi-Fi of course).

and i've been thinking about doing a rip, let me finish getting all the songs (although my gf just beat the game so maybe i'll use her file :D)
