What of the following release do you most want?

Out of the following, what release are you most anticipating?

Metal Gear Solid 4
Grand Theft Auto 4
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Final Fantasy XII
Final Fantasy XIII
Gears of War
Halo 3
Madden 07
God of War 2
Other

For me it has to be Halo 3. Even though I am a huge FF nut, Halo 3 is just so much fun multi-player.

Prinnydood May 10, 2006 07:15 PM

I'd have to go with Twilight Princess...second I suppose would be the new Super Smash..even though there's not really any info on it...and third would be FFXIII. Cant wait to get my hands on that new Zelda ^^.

Gechmir May 10, 2006 07:16 PM

I demand a Poll =o

MGS4. Why lie. FF is just hype now, pure and simple. In second is God of War 2.

map car man words telling me to do things May 10, 2006 07:21 PM

From the titles at E3, I'm most looking forward to Super Paper Mario actually, closely followed by Hotel Dusk 215 and Yoshi's Island 2. I don't even own a DS yet.

Heavenly Sword and Genji 2 are also highly anticipated by me.

Helloween May 10, 2006 07:27 PM

i'm looking forward to Legend of Zelda TP first and foremost. It's been all too long without a new Zelda title. I need my fix.

Second would probably be Final Fantasy XII. I also need a good Final Fantasy to sink my teeth into. With FFXI being a stupid MMO, i was hugely disappointed, and i've been looking forward to XII ever since.

Skexis May 10, 2006 07:43 PM

Gears of War's cover system, the "stop and pop" thing they're talking about, sounds pretty cool, but at the end of the day it's just a prettier FPS.

What I'm really interested in are the games that look towards redefining some aspect of gaming itself.

Spore, first and foremost. It looks amazing. Breathtaking, really, when you think of the endless replayability. As long as the basic game part of it is fleshed out sufficiently, I can see it becoming one of my favorite games of all time.

Indiana Jones is the second one. If you guys haven't read some of the articles IGN has done about the Euphoria AI system, by all means, do. I mean, come on, we're talking enemies that think for themselves, and react as if they're self-aware and have a sense of self-preservation. They duck behind objects, they use what's available to attack and defend, they make errors in judgment(!), and they have individualized intelligence and strength levels, causing them to be able to interact with the environment dynamically. Some enemies might try to jump from a moving car onto the top of a trolley to reach you. Others might not. Some might actually make it onto the trolley. Others might not. On rare occasions, some might be clinging to the edge, and left without the strength to lift themselves up, kick in a window on the trolley and climb up to get you.

Exciting stuff, I say. I look forward to Indiana Jones, more for what it allows than what it does. I expect it to deliver on the kind of interactivity that we expected from the Half-Life 2 demo with the soldier kicking in the door.

lets get this straight.

Final Fantasy : is just eye candy. It didn't even take them more than 6 years to rape a video game. with XIII coming out with 2 more sequels. Im not even impressed with the same stupid scenario.

Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess : While im a big fan of Zelda til the end. They took soo much fuckin time that now its going to be on the Wii as well. We were suppose to play this game last november!

GTA : Still impresses me but we already know whats going to be happening =/.

The other games are not worth the shit. MGS4 is what im lookin at now.

Rockgamer May 10, 2006 08:14 PM

I'd go with GTA4, even though we know almost nothing about it. I just recently finished GTA: San Andreas, so I need another GTA fix.

As for other games not on the list, I'd go with Phoenix Wright 2 on the DS. This game is gonna be totally awesome.

Kesubei May 10, 2006 08:27 PM

Ah yes! Phoenix Wright 2 will indeed be awesome, as long as its Gykauten Saiban 2, and not Gyakuten Saiban 4.

Also, the MGS Digital Comic is something that I need to get.

knkwzrd May 10, 2006 08:28 PM

I have to go with GTA also. It's pretty much the only series I have ever played with any regularity.

Yep, it's been confirmed to be a port of Gyakuten Saiban 2. Check out thread to read more about it.

Golfdish from Hell May 10, 2006 08:43 PM

Other-I want Super Paper Mario, Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria and Cardfighters Clash DS the most right now. Probably Yoshi's Island 2 and Kirby DS as well.

2D lives!

Darkcomet72 May 10, 2006 08:46 PM

Yeah, seriously, I like how everyone missed the option "Other".

Quite a bit. I don't want to stem too much intDIDDY KONG RACINGo all these new games, cause I'm still hyped on NSMB.

Lord Jaroh May 11, 2006 03:34 AM

God of War 2. No other game has impressed me yet, except this one, and since the first was a success, I expect this one to be just as good.

Of course, Guitar Hero 2 is a close second...boy can I not wait to wail on more music...

chato May 11, 2006 05:21 AM

I'd also like to add in Super Smash Bros. Brawl ^^:;..and a shitload of other interesting Nintendo titles Lol

map car man words telling me to do things May 11, 2006 05:40 AM

Super Smash Bros Brawl for me as well. This game just jumped over Super Paper Mario in terms "holy shit YES"ness.

Freelance May 11, 2006 05:46 AM

The only titles I'm much looking forward to is SPORE and SUPER PAPER MARIO. I'm not listing any titles that's not going to come out anytime soon (FFXIII). Star Fox DS is also on my list, but I'm not as excited about it than the other titles I've mentioned.

Matt May 11, 2006 11:02 AM

Yoshi's Island 2

I mean, hot damn. The first one was the best game ever on the SNES, surpassing even Super Metroid. There's no denying that butt stomps, eggs being tossed, and eating fuzzies and getting dizzy rocks the house until the walls fall down.
And now there's a sequel? Sign me up baby.

Fire On Ice May 11, 2006 11:28 AM

Final Fantasy XIII because apparently it takes a huge turn from the norm of the rest of the FF's and is more action then fantasy. That's what I've heard about it anyhow.

Summonmaster May 11, 2006 11:32 AM

FF XII - simply because I purposefully didn't look into any details about FF XII to keep myself ecstatic until the time it actually comes here. 8-|

SSB Brawl - hopefully another milestone of Nintendo's. I need more wacky and seemingly irrelevant characters

Yoshi's Island 2 - I have to agree about fuzzies, since that was a rather original level. Gigantic bosses + cuteness is fun too.

Synthesis May 11, 2006 02:43 PM

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing all the new titles on the DS like Diddy Kong Racing, Starfox DS, and Yoshi's Island 2.

Super Paper Mario looks absolutely superb. I'll definitely be picking tha one up as well.

Domino May 11, 2006 06:45 PM

Other

Medieval 2: Total War. If the quality of the previous games is anything to go by, then this should be a sure-fire hit. And from the images i've seen this is going to be another quality game.

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. Tiberian Sun was, and is quite possibly the best C & C game there is. And another game in the Tiberian Sun environment is going to be great. Roll on 2007.

Freelance May 11, 2006 07:06 PM

OMG OMG I just found out that the next Sims 2 expansion pack was shown at E3, and it's PETS!! OMG!!! My most wanted expansion is finally here!!!!!

Now my list includes:

Super Paper Mario, Star Fox DS, Sims 2: Pets, Super Smash Brawl and Spore.

Hantei May 11, 2006 08:09 PM

Oh definitely MGS4. The trailer this year really drew my interest (last years was "meh" for me). As they demonstrated what they meant by "no place to hide." As well as revealing a little more about the plot, setting, and situation were in for this [final] installment.

FFXIII, would be a second for me. Simply because of the impressive real time graphics they've demonstrated.

Genji 2, is definitely another I'm looking out for, as I really enjoyed the first game.

SouthJag May 11, 2006 08:17 PM

None of the above, actually. Those are all nice titles, sure, but I'm much more excited about Okami and VP: Silmeria for the PS2, Too Human for the 360, Heavenly Sword for the PS3, and VP: Lenneth for the PSP.

Sure, MGS4 will be fantastic and so will Twilight Princess, but the anticipation for each has kinda worn off.

Edit: Thanks for reminding me Hantei, as Genji 2 is also a very anticipated title for me.
