favourite movie quotes
I'm not sure how well this thread did before the crash, but I figured why not give it another try. just post your favourite quotes, try to list the movie and the character [or actor] that says it and if perchance you feel like it, explain why it's your favourite.
to get things going, these are the first two quotes that come to mind that really stuck with me: Quote:
and the second: Quote:

"Have you tried NOT being a mutant?"--Mrs. Drake (X-Men 2: X-Men United) It's just so silly, yet I can imagine someone actually saying it.
"Anonymity is the mutant's first defense against the world's hostility"--Professor Charles Francis Xavier (X-Men). It reminds me a lot about real life and my favorite non-movie quote. I'll post more later when I can think more clearly. |

"I can safely say that I don't have any interest in Lindsay Lohan...nor do I understand anyone else that does." - Nick Lachey
It's not a movie quote per se, but it's so damn true. |
"I'm a world class assassin, fuckhead."
|
"Any zombies out there?"
"don't say that" "What?" "that" "What?" "That. The Z word. Don't say it!" "why not?" "Because it's rediculous!" "Alright then....are there any out there though?" "I don't think so...oh, no, there they are" ~ Shaun and Ed from Shaun of the Dead |

"...the Batman Soundtrack" "Throw it." ... "Alright, fuck this I'm going to the shed." "I thought you said it was closed!" CRASH |
Must... resist... internet... fad...
GAH! "I'vehaditwiththesemotherfuckingsnakes!" There, I said it. |
"Get away from her you BITCH!" - Ripley in Aliens.
That's so awesome when she goes up against the Xenomorph Queen and gets all bad ass on her. She overcomes her fears by facing them directly. Quite a fine piece of cinema. |
"I'm not your fucking mommy!" - Mom in The Ring 2
This, on the other hand, is not cinema, but it was a priceless moment in what was a really disappointing sequel. |
"I don't dodge guilt. And I don't jew out of paying my come uppance. That woman deserves her revenge. And...we deserve to die." - Budd, Kill Bill Vol. 2
My favorite line out of the two movies. Budd knows they fucked up when they nearly killed the Bride, and he's ready to get what's coming to him. I'd think of something else, but it's 4:30 in the morning. Sleep time. |
"Who are you? Do you have a wife? A girlfriend? Whoever she is, I'm gonna find her. I'm gonna hurt her. And then I'm going to kill you right in front of her." - Capote

"I'm your huckleberry" from Tombstone is my number one favorite, followed closely by "That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten" from Pulp Fiction (The Wolf).
There are so many more, but I felt like I should narrow it down to two. |

Twelve Monkeys
---------------- Fale: Then how come she knows what's going on? Jeffrey Goines: While I was institutionalized, my brain was studied exhaustively in the guise of mental health. I was interrogated, x-rayed, studied thoroughly. Then, everything about me was entered into a computer where they created a model of my mind. Then, using the computer model, they generated every thought I could possibly have in the next, say ten years, which they then filtered through a probability matrix to determine everything I was going to do in that period. So you see, she knew I was going to lead the Army of the Twelve Monkeys into the pages of history before it ever even occurred to me. She knows everything I'm ever going to do before I know it myself. How about that? The Rock -------- General Hummel: Put the phone down. Major Tom Baxter: I'm calling them Frank, I'm asking for more time. General Hummel: You're being asked by a friend. [Baxter continues] General Hummel: You're being ordered by a superior officer. [Baxter carries on, Hummell draws] General Hummel: Now you're being given your last chance by a man with a gun. Baxter: I thought you said you weren't ready to kill. Hummel: I'm warming up. |
"We can't, they're armed"
"With what?" "Oh feather dusters, bad breath, colourful language...GUNS YOU TIT!" - Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels I love sarcasm, and nothing goes better with sarcasm then the threat of firearms. |
"Yeah? ...and you're ugly." -Ace Ventra [Jim Carrey]
"Stuff probably looks better on the way out..." -Ace Ventura [Jim Carrey] These two quotes are by far my favorite of all movies, and I use (overuse) them in regular context when speaking to people. Allthough they all come from the first Ace Ventura, the second is however my favorite...every time I watch these movies or hear the quotes, I never fail to find it hilarious. |
"I'll be back" - Arnold in "The Terminator"
No truer or more inspirational words were ever spoken by a robot. |
"You got knocked the fuck out!" Can't remember which character, but it was in the first Friday movie. It's one of my more fave qoutes :)

"You're a fucking ugly bitch. I want to stab you to death and play around with your blood."
"Not quite blonde, are we? More of a dirty blonde." "Your compliment was sufficient." "But 'inside' doesn't matter." -Patrick Bateman "Is that a gram?" "I want to get high off this, not sprinkle it on my fucking Oaties." "Raised lettering, pale nimbus... white." (In reference to his business card.) -Timothy Bryce American Psycho |

"Ain't got time to bleed" for Predator.
"...What is best in life?" "To crush your enemies. See them driven before you. And hear the lamentation of their women." Conan the Barbarian. Sure there are lots of more deep and thought provoking quotes out there. But these are the ones that come up and awful lot. |
Sin City
"I love hitmen. You can do whatever you want to them and not feel bad." "You have every right to be angry with me, Sherry. And I forgive you for that." "Hi there. I'm Sherry's new boyfriend and I'm completely out of my mind." That movie had some awesome quotes. I can't believe I haven't bought the DVD yet. Also, I feel inclined to include my favorite Batman quote of all time. But it doesn't come from a movie, it's from the animated series, after he has the Sewer King (who would abuse and enslave children) just inches away from a moving train. "I don't pass sentence on people, that's for the jury to decide. But this time....THIS ONE TIME....I am SORELY tempted to do so." |
