Good program for making iso?

What's a good program for making iso? I prefer iso over any other format. I'm currently using Magic ISO. What do you guys think about it? Should I be using another program?

try CDImage Pro

Almost any program can make ISOs. But for CD images you don't have in ISO form, use UltraISO to convert it to ISO.

Thanks, I'll give these a try.

I also use Magic ISO, and why would you want anything else? As far as I know, it is the most featured ISO creator.

I use WinISO. Does Magic ISO make images of DVDs too?

I vote MagicISO. It is best iso creator i've used.

I agree with this man right here.

I've found CDBurnerXP to be an ok replacement for Nero. Not so cluttered up, freely available and it does ISOs.

You can also use your hard disc as target drive, then an ISO image of your CD/DVD will be saved to the location you (have to) enter.

I'm a big fan of UltraISO myself. Great for creating (and modifying) images of any form.

Agreed, for some reason MagicISO seems like a lame clone of UltraISO. Whenever I do anything ISO related, I always give UltraISO a spin (since it can read almost any CD image known to humankind).
Though when it comes to ISO creation, Alcohol 120% isn't bad.

Slightly offtopic, but what's the best program to rip a PC-DVD Game to your hard-drive as an ISO?

Alcohol120% is giving me read errors on a disc which is nearly flawless, the very small minor scratches are something that A120 shouldn't even be hampered by, but its apparently being VERY anal about any errors, even when "Skip Errors" is checked.

I want to try and see if its just the program that is being stupid, or if its actually my PC-DVD Game.

GrimReaper May 20, 2006 09:00 AM

Don't know if it's the best program to use for PC-DVD, but I use MagicISO on my DVD games and so far it's been working fine.

mmm i use Clone Cd to create Images from cds...

easy and compact. That's all i need

Does anyone know if I can convert a single session of a Blue-Book Audio CD (aka Enhanced CD) to an ISO? I want just the data session, not the audio. It's to complement my perfect rips of my albums.

I have been using CDRWIN for years myself. Compared with others, I'd say this is the best tool for making iso's as it's highly customisable, but that's my opinion. You can also use it as a burning tool.
The best things I like about it is because it's very small in size, doesn't clog memory and doesn't come with a load of graphical crap like you see with other programs.
