Popular suggestions
 

Some of you may have seen and/or voted in the Popularity Contest: Munchies down in the food forum. The next one, though not provided by a paper this time, will involved sports teams. And since it's not provided by a paper, I was hoping the people of The Back Page would offer suggestions for what popular teams deserve to be in such a contest. I'm looking for thirty-two teams that can be from any sport available. These teams do not necessarily have to be your favorite, just widely-popular teams in their respective sports. NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, college, soccer, etc. And if you don't like this idea, feel free to express that concern.

It would make a lot more sense to do this with each individual sport than all sports combined.

I feel that within individual sports might be too easy. Popular teams within individuals sports will automatically rise through the ranks. But if the teams were from all over the place, then someone would have to make the possibly hard decision of choosing between their favorite football team and their favorite baseball team. But, maybe I'm wrong in my assessment...
