I freaking LOVE this stuff! For those of you who don't know, Taiyaki is Japanese dessert/snack that consists of crisp but chewy, batter wrapped around sweet bean paste. It tastes better than it sounds and looks. It's so rich and thick. Usually the batter is deep-fried in the shape of a fish.

Anyway, I had this a few days ago at some Japanese fair here in LA and I've been craving it ever since! It's like freaking crack or something!

I've had Custard ones and Chocolate ones in J-Town in SF. I <3 Them...I would make em myself but a pan is 200 bucks alone ><

I had some of this when I went to Japan. In Tochigi City there was this awesome mall, and in the food court they had a taiyaki shop. My host family bought some and shared with me. Not a big fan of the bean paste unfortunately, but the custard ones rocked.
