Song from DDR also in The Sims 2 (AND used by Pretty Ricky)
 

So a long time ago I found out that a song from The Sims 2 and a song from DDR Party Collection are essentially the same (save for the vocals), but I was never able to find out the story behind that. While going through some of the Sims music on my computer today, I came across this song again, and it re-piqued my curiosity. Take a listen:

If that's not enough, apparently some guy named Pretty Ricky "sampled" it for one of his songs. And when I say sample, I mean essentially made it his whole song.

I doubt anyone will be able to tell me what the deal is with this one, but I figured I'd post it anyway. I find stuff like this really interesting.

I always thought that was a pretty common R&B sound. I think I've heard it before DDR. I'm far from sure though.

I know a lot of DDR songs heavily rely on samples. I know the song "Think Ya Better D" has a whole set of rap lyrics that I've also heard in Star Ocean 3 and I think Persona 3. I'm guessing the segment here is lifted from some freely available sample.
