SORRY ABOUT THE GREEN WIRES ON THE LIGHTS. MY WHITE WIRE ONES ARE TOO LONG FOR THE TREE AND I KEEP FORGETTING TO BUY NEW ONES.

Paco Dec 13, 2010 09:49 PM

We cultivated mine and have been smoking it for about three weeks now. NO CHRISTMAS FOR ME.

Single Elbow Dec 13, 2010 09:51 PM

Man, Paco. What WOULDN'T you smoke?

(I kid, I kid)

Paco Dec 13, 2010 09:58 PM

Crack.

Jurassic Park Chocolate Raptor Dec 13, 2010 10:28 PM

And here I thought the answer would be pole.

Guess not.

Philia Dec 13, 2010 10:35 PM

Remind me to take a couple of photos tomorrow.

I have a two foot tall tree with just as smaller ornaments on it, it serves as a tabletop for now. We also have another tree, your standard one and this one comes equipped with lights I think. We didn't decorate it and left it as is because honestly, we don't even have normal sized ornaments for it anyway. Buying all of those a use for once in a year is ridiculous and on top of that, we don't have the space for fragile things lol.

But yeah props for a smaller tree, they're much more adorable.

Sousuke Dec 14, 2010 12:02 AM

I don't have it set up yet, cause I'm slacking on cleaning up, but I just bought a little 2-foot tree yesterday. It's BLACK. I also grabbed some equally proportional red garland and little silver ball ornaments. Pictures will be taken when it goes up! Hopefully I'll be motivated tomorrow.

Ponbiki Dec 14, 2010 12:39 AM

I've been wasting the last month or so decorating the outside of my house (mostly buying decorations, putting them up, not liking them, returning them, and buying more crap) so I haven't even gotten around to putting a tree up. I think I'm going to get banned from several of these stores at this rate. :prince:

What the hell, you guys. There are far too many posts in this thread that do not contain pictures of your Christmas tree. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE

We went fake this year. :(

VitaminZinc Dec 14, 2010 09:26 AM

Fake, but awesome. And it's top is right to the ceiling.

WolfDemon Dec 14, 2010 10:06 AM

My wife mailed me a prelit tree and a skirt.

Also, Boba Fett and Han Solo in Carbonite ornaments.

CHz do my eyes deceive me, or do you have some vintage ornaments on your tree?

This is my tree. My tree is amazing.

I poked it and it made a sad sound Dec 14, 2010 02:26 PM

This is ours:

I'm pretty sure we have better pictures, but I'm at work. :(

When it's not lit, it looks like shit. But I don't care, 'cause we're never really chilling in front of it unless it's dark out. Also, our cats are insane and knock pretty much every goddamn ornament off the tree and make them all their personal slaves.

We put up sheers specifically for the tree this year so we could have it show onto the street as part of the outdoor decor. Normally, all the blinds get closed at night. The sheers provide better privacy than just the window being open, and they even enhance the glow. You can hardly see into the living room past the tree.

In this picture, you will also see the Butt, begging for attention on the arm of our sofa.

Lurker, do you live in a sauna, that is the most lodge-esque apartment I've ever seen.

This is the very first year of my life I've put up a Christmas tree. It's a six foot noble I got on the cheap through this charity program my work was doing (trees donated, all proceeds to charity). Had nothing to do with decorating it; my sister already owned all the ornaments and my niece arranged them along with the rest of the decorations up in the living room. I like the topper because Santa appears to be moonlighting as a wizard.

Maybe next year I'll really go nuts and put up some outside lights.

Mine. FAKE. I miss all of my childhood ornaments, my Father stole them.

Our family has done a REAL Christmas tree in ages. I think the last time we put our fake one up was my Junior year of College. My dad insisted on cleaning out the area of the dining room where we put it usually, and got halfway through before getting lazy and making my sisters put the the rest of it.

As for who took it down... well, it was STILL up when I came back for Spring Break in March, because they were all too damn lazy.

So we're sticking with the ceramic. I cant wait to get my own place and start getting real trees again. Or at least fake, big size ones.

nuttyturnip Dec 14, 2010 08:10 PM

Here's videos of both of our trees.

The Christmas Shrine is a result of asking my father for a fiber optic tree years ago. What I got was a slowly rotating gaudy tree that spells out Merry Christmas in rainbow colors along the base. It's part of my Christmas tradition every year now.

This tree I bought a couple of years ago when I thought the Shrine was dead. Turns out I had a spare bulb, so this tree is just extra. I bought it to be gaudy, but I actually really like it.

Here are some stillshots Mo0 took with his camera.

I honestly can't tell you how old any specific ornament is, but most of the ones we put up are older than me. Some are even older than my parents. We just pass 'em down and hang 'em up, because nothing beats old ornaments.

Here are some photos for my ornament buddy. <3

It really is, isn't it? If I have time after the holidays to clean up, I should get some proper pictures up. I've always been meaning to; it looks just like a cabin in there.

As my room isn't heated, it FEELS just like a cabin too! :(

Philia Dec 15, 2010 06:10 PM

As promised and a bit belated.

That is the most tacky, most wonderful thing ever. I love how it pulses light slowly. Maybe that's your camera? NOT SURE. BUT LOVE. <3

Also, I've never been one for white trees with blue trim, but Kyndig, you make it look desirable. I'm almost rethinking my position on white trees. Almost.

Infernal Monkey Dec 15, 2010 11:37 PM

I can't remember the last time I had a Christmassive tree up, so I just made one.

This is the first full-size tree I decorated:

Cause my camera is cruddy, you can barely tell what's wrong with it, which is good. =D

I actually forgot to post a picture of mine... So here:
