The irony. Or do you think this is some kind of marketing gag?

It was sabotage by the devious unicycle industry.

A co-worker read me this headline the other day. There was a pause, after which I asked if he was being serious. He said yes and the smile that swept across my face. It felt so wrong.

I actually said, "shit, no way, really?"

And then I thought it was kind of sad cause I thought it was the guy who invented it. Knowing it's just the guy who owned the company doesn't mean shit to me.

By all accounts he was a very good man who worked hard to enrich the lives of his family and his community. I'm sorry that he felt like he couldn't go on with life.

TBH, I don't know him, but sure seems like a sad thing to happen. But people die... so.. yeah.

A lot of people I know seen to hate the segway, not the company persay, but the product itself, and disdain for people who uses them. It seen to come with certain rich-people smug-ness we associate with segway, (or I-tad for that matter). So there might be some schadenfreude when unfortunate and perhaps bizarre circumstances befalls them.
