Popularity Contest: Munchies (Final)
 

Here we are. The finals. The showdown between two munchables voted better than their peers, if only by a slim margin. Yes, that's correct, the semi-finals were close, with Pringles only winning by three votes and the Gummis winning by one. As you already know, I've made it into a poll, given that there are really only two options now.

With it being a poll, there doesn't seem to be much reason to post, huh? Well, why don't you guys make suggestions for future contests (if you want there to be future contests), including your favorite(s) in that category (not to say that I'll use them). Future tournaments would be made out by me, what with the paper not providing any more great lists. And, of course, feel free to comment on what this final consists of or how your choice is fairing.

Pringles all the way. I've just never liked Gummi Bears, especially since there is better chewy fruit candy out there.

Pringles is one of my absolute favourite snack foods, so yeah...

Maybe for the next poll you can do 'fave chip brand' or something?

I just cant seem to get myself to enjoy gummi bears, I'm not so fond of the gummy candies

Seriously, what do people see in Pringles? Is it the cylindrical container? The exotic shape of the chip? The mustached mascot? Dunno; they're way too salty for me, and the different flavors don't really do it for me...

Gummies, on the other hands...I like chewy things in general, and gummi bears are some of the yummiest chewiest things ever! I especially like the gummi drops the Japanese have, as well as the vitamin-supplement gummies *HEART*

Fuck pringles. Gummy bears will take any othe snack.

I love how the chip sort of just conforms to the top of my tongue as I bite down on it. Gummi bears are good and all, but they just don't cut it for me.

Go Gummies! Gummies will prevail and take over the world! Seriously tho . . . pringles don't taste that good . . . esp after the 5th chip. The pizza flavour is really bad too . ..

But with gummies, you can put them under a Bunsen burner and watch them explode . . . or was it acid? I don't remember . . . oh yeah, they taste good too.

The weekend is almost here. Then, soon after that, this contest will be over. And since a good amount of you don't have to be anywhere Monday, give voting a go! That is, if you care who wins. I mean, really, we can't let this thing end in a tie, right?

I could never refuse the kaleidoscopic allure of gummi bears. It's just not possible.

Pringles are the best! Especially original flovor. I love doing the ducky thing with them.

It's the last day of voting and it's not even a full day! Well, that is assuming there isn't a tie at the time I decide to close it... which will be early evening, assuming nothing stops me. So, gummi fans, your favorite is losing. You wouldn't want to see them lose because you didn't vote, right? Pringles fans, you want the chips to stay on top, right? Well then, I suggest you vote.

Well, people, Monday has come and gone. However, since GFF was down and I didn't visit yesterday, I will extend the voting until tomorrow evening (Friday, somewhere around five or six). Assuming there isn't a tie at that point, I will announce the winner and close the thread. As of now, Pringles are winning by a two-vote margin.

Pshhhhhh whatever Gummibears are ten time better then pringles. They might not have the amazing shape as Pringals too, but you cant get around that eating half of the bears and sticking the two colors together part. Its just fun.. :)

I voted for Gummi Bears, since I love most gummy candies. Pringles are okay, but I'm not too much of a chip fan.

The winner for the first Popularity Contest is Pringles! Though I personally was hoping Gummi Bears would rise to supremacy, I am not disappointed with the result. Pringles is a fine snack item and is well-deserving of such an honor. {coughs} I am currently working on the next contest, which will involve sports. Any suggestions made in this thread (all related to food) will be considered for a possible contest at a later time.
