Laptop never goes on standby
 

I have my laptop set to go on standby after 20 minutes (with the laptop open). I have my monitor set to shut off in 15 minutes, and the harddisk set to shut off in 20 minutes. Up to a couple of hours can pass, and my laptop still doesn’t go on standby, but the screen is black (the monitor shuts off), and if I move the mouse, the screen comes up instantly.

Before, my laptop would go on standby after the specified amount of time, but for some reason, it doesn’t anymore. What can I do to fix this?
